This book was incredible! I felt such truth in the story. Having been raised in the south during this time, I completely relate to the story. Though I was never in the Junior League crowd, the different situations and circumstances were present in every area of society during that time. One of the last conversations I had with my grandmother included her question "Whatever happened to that niggra lady that y'all 'had'?" Since we were in a nice restaurant at the time she blurted that out, I quickly shushed her and told her that we didn't say things like that. I can't imagine ever "reading" this book...the audio adds so much to the character development...Loved it and recommend it highly!
