When James Patterson meets a long deceased Michael Crichton, the results just have to be explosive!
Great story, wish there could be a sequel. It was so good to see Crichton's name on a new book.
Patterson did a great job of weaving the details into the skeletal outline provided him from Crichton's wife.
It was fun "traveling" to Hawaii and learning many new facts about volcanos. Enjoyable read.

I was expecting a mix of experiences and analysis. The book needs more human stories mixed in with the clinical analysis to keep it interesting.

In the OUTSIDERS, the entity asked if the detectives had seen others like him. There might be a great story sleeping there....another Outsider lurking for Holly to find! Only you could wake that story!!!

Only a master writer like King could
1) Conceive of such a complicated plot
2) Keep it all straight
3) Poetically tell such a tale
Loved it! So convoluted!!! This story is in keeping with King's "transcending evil" theme!!! I read it in wonder of the talent that wrote it! This was my second read after overca decade. I lived having it read by the author!!!

A fun easy listen

Matt Haig is a master of descriptions and more than once, I turned off the story just to reflect on his poetic images.
The story is interesting, but not sensational, as in a brand new monster or some deeply turned twist of science.
But it's "human!" I loved the end where the main character gave advice on what it meant to be human to his "son."
There was something for everyone in that passage.
It was an enjoyable listen and the narrator was very good!
Worth a credit.

I wanted more of the story!

When you think of a character almost as a "friend," you know you've got a good read! I wish the story could've continued. ... but the nature of the ending (no spoilers!) doesn't allow this. It is an interesting story with good characters. It just goes too quickly! And poof! It's done!

King has a way of making you fall in love with his characters--even if that character is a hitman!
Billy was a tragic character, but with such a heart! If I told you that Billy only killed BAD people,
you'd roll your eyes and think, "That's hokey!" But in context, it isn't. King has a way of taking your
hand and leading you down a path...and down...and down...and after a while, you don't even realize that
you're falling over a cliff and are completely committed to whatever he wishes you to believe!
The story will hug you and not let you go!
Narration was excellent! Sparks had to do several different kinds of voices and he did them well.
He added so much to the way the story "rolled"!
Loved it! Go Stephen!!! Keep 'em coming!
