I try to reread this every Christmas and I love this edition of the story with Tim Curry’s stellar performance.

A solid sequel.

it did not take long for Malorie to reintroduce me to the world of Birdbox. It is a solid sequel getting right back to the heart of all the unanswered questions from Birdbox while avoiding being more of the same. My only major critism is that it wasn't long enough. I dont mean that to be cliché. There are parts of the book that simply skip over the tension when there could have been room for more adventure or exploring. Sometimes it felt like Malerman just wanted to finish the book so he skips or combines some major events. Maybe thats just me craving more. Its still one of the best follow ups to a book I've read in a long time.

The book and narration are both great. The book is extremely detailed but the information is presented plainly in a pleasant tone for the reader. It is a lot of information so it can feel long and tedious at times, but it was very interesting.

Jasper Fforde is back! Awesome!

What did you love best about The Woman Who Died a Lot?

I've read all of the Thursday Next series, and I thought the last 2 or 3 books not as good as the first few, but with this edition I thought Jasper Fforde got his stride back. This story definitely had that extra spark that the last few books were lacking. The writing was spot-on and hilarious. This series is one where I frequently find myself laughing out loud, which is really embarrassing sometimes when I'm sitting in my cubicle at work and people start looking at me weird.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the new story with the Library Service and Fforde's explanation of that branch of the military(?). This whole alternate reality that Fforde has created with Thursday Next is continually expanding and this was particularily humorous in this book.

What about Emily Gray’s performance did you like?

Emily Gray does a very good job shifting through all the characters. She definitely is a great narrator with perfect comedic timing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Well, these stories bring more laughs than tears most of the time, but the bit about Jenny at the end was kind of saddening, but hopeful. I don't want to give to much away there.

Definitely worth a listen for any Thursday Next fan! You'll be really happy you did. I'm already gearing up for the next edition.

Enchanting and seductive

At first I thought the premise was weird and a bit of a stretch from what I've been reading lately, but the story is really full and I feel immersed in it. I like both of the main characters. I like how Ren speaks. Its funny, but everything he says sounds inadvertently sexual to me. But overall, I enjoy the quest theme to the book. I'm anxious to see where their adventures will lead to next, and I'm interested in reading the series now.
I felt a little let down with the ending, though. I just feel like a lot of the series books nowadays never have endings, like the authors can't complete a story, or don't know where to stop. But that's just an overall thought.
This book ended with a bit of something wanting, but it was pretty much satisfying. I wanted Kelsey and Ren to get together, but Ren is seductive and... Dangerous, like Kelsey describes in the book. I can see a very demanding controlling manipulative relationship coming from this. Like Edward and Bella. ...And Jacob, too. Because there is an obvious love triangle happening, as well. I will be continuing the series soon.

Hilarious and heart-warming...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! This book was funny and had really strong female characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Celia was so cute and feather-brained, but completely lovable.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Minnie. So sassy.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The were several moments, and I cannot pinpoint one that was especially meaningful alone.

Would you consider the audio edition of Watership Down to be better than the print version?

I never read the book Watership Down in print, though I always wanted to, so I decided to listen to the audiobook instead. The author has a made up language for rabbits included in the story, and I think if I had tried to read the words in print, I would have gotten hung up on the unfamiliar words.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Watership Down?

The ending was exciting, and all the adventures the rabbits get into are very thrilling.

What does Ralph Cosham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think it was easier to follow the characters with the distinct voices the narrator used, more so than trying to read the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I really felt strongly for the rabbits, and I kept trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I wished I hadn't waited so long to get to this book.
