I really enjoyed this sweet and clean historical fiction and romance. It's part of a series of brave women who were not afraid to take a stand in what they believe needed to be changed and you will see some historical figures that appear in this book! Loved that. I enjoyed that the Willow Valley people return such as the owner of the hot chocolate shop and others familiar from an earlier book. The characters are good people trying to make the best of the situations that they are in. However, it is not necessary to have read the previous books in order to be aware of what is happening in this, the third book. It's a great stand alone story. The narrator was Elizabeth Schmidt, who I believe is a new narrator for the author's Audible books. I enjoyed her expression and her story-telling abilities. She was easy to listen to.

This is a very enjoyable book and it was fun to listen to. I received a complimentary Audible copy of this book from the author and was not required to post a review. All thoughts are my own.

Another sweet and clean and definitely enjoyable book by Linda Weaver Clarke. I love the cover and have to admit, the look of a cover really influences my first thoughts of a book. The narrator was a talented speaker as she told the sweet story.

I love how the author weaves her ancestors' stories into her fiction. What a wonderful way to preserve your ancestors' stories while writing an engaging and interesting story. I loved the way the character of Jonathon grew throughout the story and how he learned to impress the woman he was hoping to court. I loved how Serenity was not as "refined" as her Welsh auntie had hoped for her to be.

It's a great story and I am so happy to have read it. I enjoyed it so much!

I received an Audible copy from the author without being required to give a positive review.. All thoughts are my own.

I enjoyed this sweet Audible version historical romance very much. This story shows the western spirit of adventure in a young widow who has faced many hardships to come to this point. This is a Christian book and a very engaging and enjoyable read. The narrator was able to present interesting versions of the characters' voices making the book very enjoyable to listen to. It' was very well done.

As a newcomer to town, she finds many men who wish to become her suitor but she is independent and hopes to find her own way. Her special needs child is her first concern and she does all she can to provide and care for her.

You will enjoy this heartwarming story of a strong woman forging a new life.

I just recently finished listening to the Audible version of The Amelia Moore Mystery Series, Vol 3, Mystery on the Bayou. I really enjoyed it.

Linda writes a fun and interesting story line. We find Amelia and Rick, two happy newlyweds in a cozy retreat for their honeymoon, only to be approached by a woman who asks Amelia to locate a son she gave up for adoption 16 years ago. She has discovered she has a hereditary disease that she feels an urgent need to inform her son about. Not knowing could be deadly for him. Amelia takes on the case which leads her to Bayou country and a not so easy to resolve case.

There are several twists and turns making lots of interesting listening. I enjoyed listening to the Audible version very much and if you enjoy cozy mysteries, with a little touch of romance, you will surely enjoy it as well!

The narrator Carolyn Kashner has a great way of changing voices of each of the characters. It's really enjoyable listening and relaxing to this fun Audible book after a long stressful day. She is so full of expression and very talented! I loved listening to someone "tell me a story". I could listen as I drove to and from errands and even while fixing dinner. It's a great way to "multi-task".
The second story in Vol 3, is The Lighthouse Mystery. It's a great cozy mystery and for me it was awesome because she often writes about places that I know. This time her book took me to my old home in California, Palm Springs, and as she described it, I could totally visualize it! Then they were headed to Ventura Harbor. I used to live very close by and trips to the beach in Ventura were a remembrance of years past for me!

But aside from this, the Audible book held my attention to the very end. I loved this clean romance and the resolution to the mysteries. I look forward to reading and listening to other books from this great author.

I received an Audible version of this book from the author for my honest review, which I have given. All thoughts are my own.

I listened to the Audible version which the author herself narrated. The book had little vignettes of the life and lifestyle of the author. It was a nice story of her growing up in Brooklyn and then her life as wife and mother in Upstate New York. It tells of stories in her life such as her first funeral and other events and ties them into her beliefs and faith in God.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a fairytale retelling or not. I didn't really know what to expect. What I found was a sweet romance with heroes and villains and a surprise at the end! The story has twists and turns and you won't know what happens next until you keep on reading! It's amazingly clever how the author retells the tale of Rumpelstiltskin, the spinner of gold. I have to admit, I totally forgot how this fairy tale played out. It started to come back to me as I listened to the narrator, Kimi Weldon, tell this story to perfection. She was a pleasing to listen to narrator and it made the story come to life.
There was great chemistry going on in the romance and it totally engaged me. Well done!

I received an Audible copy of this book without expectation of a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

This is a sweet novella length book with action, faith and history all rolled in. The story takes place in Michigan at the time of the ending of the French and Indian War in the 1700's. It has some mystery as we contemplate where Mercy's father and good friend and scout, Shad, suddenly disappear and Mercy sets out to find them. She's a very brave women during some very trying and difficult times.

It was a fun and even educational read. I really enjoyed it! I enjoyed the narrator's voice, although I must say that most Audible books I have listened to were female voices so this was a surprise. His voice, was easy to listen to and I enjoyed his interpretation of the story.

I really enjoyed this book. It is the first book of Anne Perreault that I have had the pleasure to read. A trip to Yellowstone for Cady and her friend holds lots of adventure and growth. The characters are enjoyable and people that you want to get to know better as the book progresses.

This is a Christian story and for me that is exactly what I enjoy. The characters make good choices somet not quite so good and the book is heartwarming and fun as well. The spiritual text is exactly what keeps me reading good books.

I was gifted a complimentary copy of this book from the author and no expectation of a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

I recently finished listening to this novella written by Carrie Fancett Pagels. This is the first book in the Christy Lumberjack Series. I really enjoyed the voice of the narrator, Virginia Gray whose voice was expressive and easy to listen to. She was very expressive and it was clear when someone was speaking, who it was. She did an excellent job.

I loved the story. Carrie's writing style really appealed to me and as I got to know her characters, they became very interesting people to me. This cozy romance is a pleasure to listen to.

Jo is a cook at the lumber camp but would like to move on into a bakery in a different setting. She meets the new lumberjack to their camp, Tom. He is a very interesting young man trying to earn his living as a lumberjack, although he is actually a teacher. As he is trying to help his mother financially, he takes this job, as the money he earned teaching does not stretch far enough.

He makes a challenge that he will marry whoever can make a fruitcake that is as good as his mother's. That's when the fun begins and fruitcake of every imaginable recipe is baked and served to the workers at the camp. So does he find a bride and does anyone make a good enough fruitcake to please his palette? This you will discover as you read this delightful book!

Recently I reviewed Volume 1 of The Amelia Moore Mysteries. Now I have the good fortune to review Volume 2.
I was really happy to listen to The Amelia Moore Detective Mysteries, because I had really enjoyed the others which I had listened to. This one did not disappoint. Narrator Carolyn Kashner was an enjoyable narrator and very expressive. She does a good job of keeping your interest.

Ms. Clarke's books are always a good and clean read. It is a fun cozy mystery and I love how it brings in the area in St. George, Utah, which I am so familiar with. The author always makes you feel as though you are right there enjoying the scenery and the surroundings.

I loved how Rick and Amelia work so well together, have their bucket lists, and seem to always get into a few tight fixes. I really enjoyed the book, loved the fact that it was Audible and could listen without turning a page!

There are two mysteries in this volume. In the second story, a porcelain doll turns up missing from a museum case. The obvious culprit appears to be Sam, an engaged museum employee who suddenly turns up missing at the same time as the doll.

Sam's fiance hires Amelia and her partner Rick to find Sam and to prove his innocence. Amelia and Rick are followed at every corner and try to dodge the men that always seem to be after them. Will they be able to find Sam and prove that he was not guilty of the theft and also figure out why so many people seem to be inquiring about the doll? Is the doll worth enough to be of such great interest to several people? What is the real secret behind the mysterious doll?

These were fun to listen to and I enjoyed it very much. I think you will enjoy the other books in this cozy mystery series, as well. Amelia and Rick seem to be getting closer as the series continue and some romance is definitely in the air.

I was given a complimentary Audible version from the author for my review and was under no obligation to give a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
