I liked the book but just like in the first one I wanted to shake some sense into the female lead. Her character made it very frustrating for me, and almost made me stop reading early on, but i am one that finishes what i start even when it pains me. Patterson is always a good writer so it was worth the frustration to get through. I do recommend this book for those who aren't easily annoyed and want a good serial killer/FBI story.

Frustrating, Reese needs to grow up!!!

I LOVE how Phillip is, how great he is with both girls and how much he cares. Reese was the one that frustrated me. I understand heartbreak and how it can effect all relationships following it but she was SO childish. If you are in love and happy take the leap, if they truly love you back they will catch you and make everything truly matter in life. I hate how wishywashy she was and cold about her getting hurt not caring if she broke Phillip's heart. It was all about her, like she was the only one whose feeling matter. Phillip and Claire deserve more than a selfish baby.

Great Book and well done on the reading

I love this book. I relate so well to certain characters, especially Ryder Creed. I love how Ms. Kava put so much of the story being focused on the dogs. I am an animal lover, and like Creed I feel more at home with my dogs than anywhere and with anyone, other than my significant other. It could be that she is a midwestern girl, but I love how you can tell she loves animals and respects our military veterans. Being from a military family, and having 4 dogs currently, as well as being raised with them, those are things that I really love and admire about this book. I am anxious to read or listen to the rest of this series, and I applaud Ms. Kava on fantastic writing and story line. Keep it up. Can't wait to read more or listen to more books done by Graham Winton, wonderful job.

Great book!!

Good mystery, I didnt have it pegged who was guilty until it was getting near the reveal. I like when it keeps me guessing, and how there could be so many angles to follow,like with actual murder. I love the growing story between Bailey and Aiden too, I want there to be more. I like Bailey in Holmes county too, I believe she will always be there and will live happily.making her Maami happy, among others. I don't like her back and forth much, but I understand it too. It was a well written story and I wait for more to flush out Bailey and Aiden's relationship,which I hope does end with their marriage and family, making Julliet and Clara very happy!!

Interesting and helpful

The series of these three book was helpful to learn more about each of the characters. I am both glad and upset that I waited to listen to this after I read the majority of the series. Knowing things that have happened in the series made helped to further the stories from previous books, as it should do. This book made a lot more of the series really follow a better path for me personally. Seeds of Deception made previous books make a lot more sense when you know more about her childhood, where as Long Lost and A Hidden Secret add more to the relationship she has with John Tomasetti. I am happy that I purchased and listened to this book.
