Historia
Malcolm Gladwell, author of New York Times best sellers including Talking to Strangers and host of the podcast Revisionist History, uses original interviews, archival footage, and his trademark insight to weave together the stories of a Dutch genius and his homemade computer, a band of brothers in Central Alabama, a British psychopath, and pyromaniacal chemists at Harvard. As listeners hear these stories unfurl, Gladwell examines one of the greatest moral challenges in modern American history.

Thought provoking and bias busting!

Combined so many aspects not just a riveting story. A look at character of military leadership, moral convictions. Changed my perspective on several issues, the main one being issue of fire bombing Japanese cities.

Historia
A searing memoir about growing up in a fiercely loving, abusive rabbinical family in which the author's father, the charismatic head of a splinter Orthodox religious community, demands unswerving loyalty—and a commitment to guarding terrible secrets. Sara Sherbill was raised by a father who was both a representative of God and a broken man harboring an intricate set of secrets. Her riveting story explores what happens when a daughter is tasked with keeping those secrets, and the cost of keeping them. It asks: How do we live with suffering? What does it mean to heal?

Profoundly moving and multi-layered

Listening to the author’s voice reading her story that she’d written in her own voice was a deeply satisfying experience. I will be reflecting on it for some time.

So well told and narrated by the author. I really felt like it was told by a nine year old. So glad you told your story so well.

A memoir and researched revelations blended in one!
Revisado: 08-20-22
Very well written and informative book—a must read. The way she blends her story with fact based information of how un-science based the criteria for the hundreds of mental health diagnoses and the unethical practices of big pharma and some doctors makes this book quite readable and relatable.
