Historia
In 1980, a freshman congressman was gunned down in Rhode Island, sending shockwaves through Washington that are still reverberating over four decades later. Now, with the world on the brink of war and a weakened United States facing rampant inflation, political division, and shocking assassinations, a secret cabal of global elites is ready to assume control. And with the world’s most dangerous man locked in solitary confinement, the conspirators believe the final obstacle to complete domination has been eliminated. They’re wrong.

Politics should stay out of books like this
Revisado: 05-31-23
I couldn't get past the ninth chapter. It really is difficult to listen to irrational, conspiratorial political pontifications when I'm looking for an action packed story with America's best operators. No thanks. I'm done with this author. There's an audience for this drivel, I've no doubt. It's definitely not me.

Historia
It’s been 20 years since 9/11, two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and set out to make the guilty pay with their lives. In the shadows, the enemy has been patient - learning, and adapting. And the enemy is ready to strike again. A new president offers hope to a country weary of conflict. He’s a young, popular, self-made visionary…but he’s also a man with a secret.

Good story with crazy right-wing politics
Revisado: 07-09-22
I didn't think I've ever taken time to write a review. I always give star but never write.
Okay, so I like the story and am a fan of James Reece. However, the author has trouble keeping his political views out of his storytelling. I really don't care where an author's ideologies reside but it's rare for spy thrillers to make them known. I'm flummoxed by someone who appears to know so much about fire arms and military tactics yet seems to only seek out OAN and Fox News for political research. I mean, to reference all the protests in 2020 as riots is clearly a dog whistle. Strange...
I'd personally prefer him to steer away from political pontificating but I have to push through it to make it to the end of the story.
The performance of the narrator, Ray Porter, is amazing as it has been throughout this series. He's the reason I'm still engaged. if it wasn't for him, I wouldnhave dropped this series long ago.

Historia
The human journey is an emotional quest to find truth and meaning. Countless books have presented this journey through the eyes of people who concluded their search with devotion to God, salvation by Jesus, or commitment to religion. But there's a changing zeitgeist in America and the world: a growing number of people are finding truth and meaning from the opposite perspective. Through 25 personal narratives, Generation Atheist tells their stories.
