Historia
Anthony Peardew is the keeper of lost things. Forty years ago he carelessly lost a keepsake from his beloved fiancée, Therese. That very same day, she died unexpectedly. Brokenhearted, Anthony sought consolation in rescuing lost objects - the things others have dropped, misplaced, or accidently left behind - and writing stories about them. Now, in the twilight of his life, Anthony worries that he has not fully discharged his duty to reconcile all the lost things with their owners.

Loved narrators voice. Storyline hard to follow.
Revisado: 10-20-24
Perhaps reading rather than listening is better for this book. I am an avid reader and complexity is generally not problematic. But listening to this novel I found the frequent shifts in perspective and storylines to be disjointed and too much work to follow. I have the book in print and will likely give that a try. But after over an hour of listening, I am archiving this title.

Utterly dull, stilted narration.

Story has no energy. her earlier works were much more lively and engaging. Miss them.

Moving. Awakening. Inspiring.
Revisado: 10-23-17
This book is an easy read in terms of its flow and rounded accessible characters. I found my heart, over time, opening even to those characters I judged harshly in the beginning. It is also an uncomfortable read ... but in the best of ways. It will invite you to stretch. And reflect. I am changed because I read it. Thank you Jodi Piccoult for the courage and hard work to write it. And to write it so well.
