Graham Tettersaw is prioritizing his life after his actions have caused him to lose everything he worked for. Once a star athlete taken low by a career-ending injury leading to a painkiller addiction all while being scrutinized by the public eye. Graham put himself first got clean and helped others, as well as bonded with his sister. He signed with an agent and a new opportunity will provide a change and hopefully help him reach his goals. Graham is offered a return to professional football. His image is tainted by past drug use causing him to have to agree to less than ideal conditions. For Graham is to have his second chance, he has to agree to intrusive rules and requirements, including having a chosen “girlfriend” move in to his new home with him. Eden Vetterly sees the silver lining in all things even though life has dealt her several hard knocks. She is a waitress barely getting by on her hard earned paychecks, is the caretaker of her 15 year old trouble finding brother who just got accepted to an expensive art school. Eden is strong, puts others happiness before her own and knows she is attractive but doesn’t see the beauty others see in her. Graham’s agent was a customer in her diner and realized her positive, stable persona. He offers Eden a contract with the team, to be Graham’s live-in girlfriend and the person who keeps him moving forward on a straight and narrow path. The money is good and with her brother’s future at stake, Eden signs securing her brothers future. When Graham and Eden meet there is an immediate spark and very quickly they evolve into something real. The two make the best out of living up to their contractual agreements until the team decides to change Graham’s public persona. With many ups and downs, Eden and Graham work together to navigate difficult situations and not violate their contract terms. Neither can afford to five up what they have, and refuse to give up one another. This is an enjoyable story, the characters relatable and likeable. The plot holds just enough drama to keep the reader interested and wanting to know the outcome. Looking forward to continuing the series.

Joe Rossi is an accomplished hitmen from a Chicago crime family who researches a kills for a purpose. Liliana is a NY dancer, daughter of mob member who has been abused in the past. When the two cross paths they begin a conflicted yet intriguing layered relationship. Joe character is no nonsense he isn't overly tortured yet repents for his sins. He artfully straddles that line between disrespect and self assurance. Liliana is removed from the business is understanding of it. She compliments Joe’s character. The mob men, the Marcellos family are represented throughout the book. The conflict surrounds Liliana’s ex Rich Earl, the author does well developing and twisting the plot here. She grabs your emotions and ignites your imagination as you continue to read. I really enjoyed it and would read another by Bethany-Kris.

Lucian begins as an 8 year old boy living on the streets, orphaned due to murdered parents. Antony Marcello catches him in an alley looking for food behind his restaurant. Lucian goes from street rat to an adopted son of a NYC mafia Don. In the beginning the book was done well there's more details revealing Lucian's birth parents and how they were connected to the Marcello family. The Marcello family had 2 sons Dante, and Gio, Lucian adapts well to his position as son, brother and not directly in line to be a future Don. Lucian meets Jordyn inadvertently in a church confessional. Lucian, becomes enamored with Jordyn, he hasn’t much cared for other women past physical means before. The problem is that Jordyn is “owned” by a notorious MC. The actual owner is abusive and has a terrible grudge against Jordyn. Jordyn is smart, but is without protection gets attacked violently in her apartment by the MC president. Lucian finds her beaten feels protective and guilty and will not allow her to be separated from him again. The book continues with the mafia family having trouble accepting Jordyn. The MC taking issue with losing Jordyn. There are also family issues with the mafia mix as one would expect. I'm still deciding if I'll read the next book. The book was written well, there were some parts that were unnecessarily long or seeming too dark for me. The characters were well defined, but I didn’t connect with them enough to want to run to the next book.

This book follows Loving Ashe, where life has really come together for both Ashe and Riley. Ashe is an established actor and Riley has gotten past her rough history and is the owner of a coffee shop. They’re building a life together and both of them are happy in their relationship. All is good for the couple until ghosts from Ash’s past threatens to destroy everything that they’ve build together. I loved that we got to discover more of Ashe and his demons in this book. I fell more in love with him as I saw him grappling through his titillating past while still trying to be the man he wants to be for Riley. It makes him more endearing and lovable. I admire his resilience such a great, great character! Riley had to come to terms with many obstacles and being suddenly bombarded with Ashe’s was a little too much for her. She tried her best, given the circumstances and her character grew and developed throughout the story. Riley was terribly indecisive throughout the story despite everything that was going on. Ashe and Riley held on to each other and supported the other as best as they could and finally, in the end, they come out of it all a whole stronger than before with a lot more trust and love between them. The romance was still as hot as the first one in this, it had a lot more distress and lot more depth than the first one as we learnt more about Ashe. I also loved the whole twisted plot that went hand in hand with the drama. It was so well written and the twists and turns were really executed. Loving Riley is a great conclusion to the love story that started in Loving Ashe and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

This is a reverse May/ December romance novel where the female character is older yet not a cougar. We are introduced to Harlow at her lowest point after life has handed her many harsh blows, she is not dealing with them well. This character is a contradiction to me, she is a well respected doctor at the top of her field, who suffered the worst of infertility was harshly treated by her husband and brought low as a result. This book refers to her woes often which drags the love story aspect down making the romance kinda a hard to believe bummer. Dax is the young, good looking, great with his hands, hot head, who is a good carpenter, that has been burned by relationships before. When the two meet there are bumps in the road but of course everything falls into place. I have enjoyed other books by this author, this book was written well but I won't be re-reading it. The narration by Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel was very enjoyable, they both have great voices, excellent tone and paced, and I truly enjoyed it.

Concert provides an intense relationship, where the concepts of right and wrong seem blurred and uncertain, two broken and endangered souls seek to understand the true meaning of love. This is the 2nd book in the series Liam North tried to stay away from Samantha Brooks. He can't when a ghost from the past threatens the young violinist's life, he will spare no effort to protect her. Even if it means putting his own security at risk. This book is warm, enticing and has a moving narrative, the author delves into the past and the feelings of Liam, Samantha and Josh. Distrust can wedge the North brothers apart, Samantha begins to dissect her and Liam's feelings trying to develop her identity as a woman. This book provides incite about various characters and secrets to be revealed, the author delivers a plot with an electrifying end, where important decisions can forever change the fate of the couple. I'm really looking forward to the latest revelations that will come in the last volume of the trilogy, Sonata.

In the beginning of the book, I thought it would be another typical contemporary romance. Girl falls for pretty boy, has some drama, they end up together. Well, it's nothing like that at all. As you get into this book and get to know the well developed characters, there are many secrets and lies that have been told that will twist this story completely around. The characters of Riley and Ashe are complex and deal with their own issues. You will get to know Riley's sister Paige and her husband Clint as well as their triplet boys. Garreth who is Riley's ex-boyfriend and Ashe's colleague who involves himself in every aspect of Riley's life making it difficult for her to move on, This is a epic love story that will capture your heart, make you feel all the feels, bring a smile to your lips and a blush to your face. Liz Durano has a winner with this book. With the talent of Tracy Marks as the narrator, you will be drawn into this book and won't stop til you get to the epilogue. Her incredible accents for Ashe and numerous voices for her characters keep you engaged and interested from start to finish. She brings this story to life. This is the first Liz Durano / Tracy Marks books I experienced it will not be my last.

Lacey and Liam have had a two year relationship online. Liam is Lacey’s dominant daddy. This changes when Liam gets a promotion and winds up working in the same office as Lacey. Due to Lacey's low self esteem, she is terrified of how his being there will change for them. This genre isn't really my thing. I was kind of intrigued by it's description, That being said, I don’t think it’s a bad book. It’s just not a book for me. I had no real connection with the characters at all. I somewhat related to Lacey because she made snarky remarks about her weight. Low self esteem is relatable, and difficult to deal with in new relationships, I thought the narrator was great, it could have been better if told by dual pov (male and female voices).
This was a decent book. It’s a refreshingly quick read. I can’t say it was my favorite book. I fully recommend the story to anyone who enjoys this genre.

This is a story of a innocent (sheltered) young girl/women falling in love with jaded, forbidden older man. Sam is a 17-year-old orphan on the verge of turning eighteen and is in love with her much older guardian, Liam North. Liam’s has many secrets of how Sam actually ended up in his care but it isn’t the focus of this book and when the secret is revealed we kind of already know what it’s going to be. The unusual sexual desire between Sam and Liam is the real attraction of Overture with a dash of Liam's and Sam’s backstory thrown in to keep the story moving. Sam is an interesting character and has potential, I'm interested to find out what happens to her in the next book as Overture ends on a cliff hanger.
