Historia
Management consulting is seen as a glamorous profession. Behind the mystique are the consultants who put in extraordinary effort, synthesize great problem-solving skills, and display fine personal attributes that enable them to capture the attention and respect of their clients. This book opens up to that world through the story of Samanta Thomas, a character based on countless excellent consultants, through whom we get inside the very mind of a consultant and their journey.

A must for those who want to excel as a consultant
Revisado: 01-09-22
As a consultant for a global ed tech company, I decided to listen to this book for my personal and professional development, expecting a good, motivational story with a few tips here and there in its deceptively short audio time. I have now listened to it twice and decided to purchase a paper copy to use as a career resource. I originally anticipated jotting down a few key point notes from each chapter; however, to my delight, I found that each chapter is incredibly dense with useful advice, methodology, and references, succintly and purposefully included. As I listened, the story held my attention, and I couldn't take notes quickly enough (therefore, the second listen, to catch what I could have missed). I felt like I was learning, like Samantha in the story, from a skilled and proven mentor who was mesmerizing and regaling me with a fable filled with real life lessons. The pdf, 50+ pages, is a valuable resource which brings the story to life even more, with organized thought points and examples of items a consultant will likely work with. I can't wait to share this book with my colleagues and to follow up with some of the books referenced by the author.

Not as expected

The most annoying, repetitive, boring, self-absorbed book I have purchased on Audible or have ever read. This book should have stopped after the 1st 5 chapters...somehow the author drug it out to 19 long, tortuous ones.

The MANipulator manual. Keep your man interested and begging for more without playing games. So many women get in trouble in their love lives, and 99.9 percent of that trouble could have been avoided if they'd said "Well, f**k him!" a bit more often. Too many women are way too nice and compliant to their men, especially when these men don't deserve that kind of treatment. I, as a dating coach and author of books for women who want to get men, cannot take it anymore.
