Historia
Your first kiss is supposed to be sweet. Ours was baptized in fire. I was the new girl trying to find her place. Landon was the brooding neighbor I tutored over the summer. I didn’t know he was a legend at Black Mountain Academy. I didn’t know they worshipped him like a religion. But, I fell for him before I knew those things. To me, he was just the tortured soul who drew me in like a magnet. And then, he did something so unspeakable, so unforgivable, it shattered me. I ran away then because I was weak, but I’ve shed my tears.

Academy Romance
Revisado: 01-03-25
Pretty When She Cries is set against the backdrop of Black Mountain Academy, a school for privileged and insufferable teens, where we witness the tangled dynamics between Kailani Hale and Landon Blackwood. Once close friends, they now stand as bitter rivals, manipulated by their so-called friends, deepening their rift.
The story is a poignant exploration of heartbreak and resilience, capturing the rawness of their fractured relationship. Ms. Zavarelli masterfully conveys the rollercoaster of emotions, crafting a tale filled with angst, heartbreak, unexpected love, and palpable tension.
If you're looking for an academy romance with all the emotion and intensity, this will most likely be right up your alley.

Amazing finale to a brillant series
Revisado: 12-23-24
Heartless Villain by K. Loraine and Meg Anne is an extraordinary thrilling rollercoaster ride filled with unexpected turns, revelations, and action galore. What truly captivates me is the unwavering loyalty among the five main characters and the immense lengths they are willing to go for one another. Their bond is inspiring and beautifully portrayed.
The humor sprinkled throughout had me in stitches, often bringing tears of laughter to my eyes. The palpable chemistry among the group is electric, and the steamy moments will definitely leave you breathless—prepare to reach for a refreshing drink!
This last instalment, like the rest of this series, is simply glorious from start to finish. The storyline. The characters. The spice. The thrill. And, my lord, the PERFORMANCE of these talented voice actors! Utter brilliance. In short: It’s the total package for me, and I’m in equal parts anxious and excited to see what this author duo will do with the last series in this Mate Games universe.

A hard story to swallow sometimes, yet so incredibly, twistedly beautiful and powerful. This is one of my favorite series of all time, I just adore Tess & Q so much! Both narrators do an incredible job giving even more depth to an already deep story.

Some would call me irrevocably broken. I submerge myself in long work hours by day and debauchery at The Wicked Horse by night, using those things to numb the pain and guilt I feel over the death of my wife. What isn’t satisfied by one will surely be resolved by the other. At least that’s how I’ve survived the last few years.

Touching. Emotional. Sexy.
Revisado: 06-01-20
Asher’s story is the one I’ve been waiting for for so long. It was awesomesauce, spiked with deliciously kinky and sizzling sex as we are used to in this series that’s based around a sex club in Vegas, but still this one somehow has a bit too much of an insta-coupling feel to it for my liking. There’s basically no wait at all for the physical attraction of them to explode, however, these two, Hannah and Asher, take their sweet, sweet time to realize their emotional connection to one another.
This book might not have centered on the club as the previous stories, but it still satiated my craving for kinkiness as well as meeting some of the characters from the earlier books again.
In Asher and Hannah’s story there is no over the top drama or angst, these are two characters who actually act like adults for once. Of course, they both have their struggles, and I wanted to give especially Asher a smack on the head – or two, but once he finally comes to his senses, he becomes everything Hannah needs and more. Hannah herself is one strong heroine, who sticking up for herself and her family and makes Asher fight for her.
Theirs is a fully developed fast-paced story, full of cute and tender moments as much as wicked sexiness and one beautiful epilogue to melt your heart.
The narration by Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh is wonderfully done with distinct voices, great transportation of feelings and all in all great performances. This was the first time I've listened to either, but it won't be the last.

Perfect! I need more!!
Revisado: 01-28-20
Ooohh, looks like I’m on a 5-star-listening-spree of Sawyer Bennett books. CODE NAME: HEIST was another amazing audio that I couldn’t stop listening to. The location(s) – Paris, London, Pittsburgh –, the setting, the suspense, the action, the characters – down to their unique, fitting names – their profession, their chemistry, the fact it’s a second chance love story – the list goes on.
Sin(daria) and Saint – Yin and Yang – a perfect fit in every aspect, despite – or especially because of their complicated backstory.
This one is exactly what I want from a romantic suspense novel: It’s thrilling and sexy, dangerous and heartfelt, all emerged in the dark underworld of complex heists and other illegal activities. The story even contains a nail-biting secondary story which I hope will be positively resolved very soon.
Joe Arden and Mackenzie Cartwright compliment the experience of this story even further – distinct character voices and a narration that transports every emotion written on the pages.
I want more! …which is why I just might go and find me another story about high-end thieves like these two. I’m hooked!

Historia
I am not okay. Fifteen months ago, the plane I was piloting went down. Injured and trapped in the wreckage, I had to watch my fiancée die a painfully slow death, which is something that can really mess with your head. Since that day, I’ve had little desire to do much of anything. Except play hockey, that is. But off the ice, I’m spiraling out of control. Now, thanks to a string of bad decisions, I’ve been ordered to complete therapy in order to stay on the team. The problem? Nora Wayne, my beautiful and somewhat unconventional therapist.

Tacker ... finally!
Revisado: 01-01-20
TACKER. A broken, grumpy hero. My kryptonite. He intrigued me ever since his very first appearance in the series. After losing his fiancé in a horrific plane crash, he is merely a shell of the man he once was.
And who could blame him? Since he was the pilot too … I’m cringing even remotely thinking about the utter guilt he must feel. A guilt that almost crushes him in its torture and weighs so heavily on his shoulders that he built an almost impenetrable wall around himself to not let anyone else through – and worse …
Forced into therapy, he meets Nora Wayne, a therapist who is not only using very unique therapy methods but went through her own personal nightmare years ago. She gets him in a way most therapists wouldn’t …
It’s a slow-burn kind of story – their relationship is forbidden after all. There are well-placed flashbacks – not only to find out what happened, but also to get to know his lovely late fiancé MJ a bit better. There are those wonderful and funny moments with his team mates, which we have come to love in this series. And of course, there are heartbreaking, soul-cleaning moments in therapy too – sometimes accompanied by very unusual therapists in the form of horses.
It’s sweet and touching and cute – a wonderful love story about healing and acceptance – with tiny hints about what’s going to be next. I can’t wait!
Stephen Dexter voiced Tacker wonderfully – deep, gruff and closed-off. He carried the emotions easily. On the other hand, I sadly found Lucy Rivers’ voice a bit monotone at times. Overall, these two narrators still complemented each other well and made this one enjoyable listen.

Kyle Sommerville is in hiding and doesn't want to be found by anyone. Certainly not by his quirky, free-spirited neighbor who's managed to push her way past the walls he's built around him. But Jane Cresson's indomitable will and insatiable curiosity about her reclusive neighbor makes it impossible for Kyle to stay immersed in his dark world. Little by little, she claws through his shell. Day by day, she gets him to smile a little more. Night by night, they both find pleasure they never knew existed.

Perfection! One of my favorites by Ms. Bennett!
Revisado: 12-31-19
Oh, Kyle. I guess it’s safe to say that this belongs to my top favorite books written by Sawyer Bennett. Kyle’s story captivated and enthralled me, made me feel all the things and then some … I didn’t want to stop listening, neither did I want it to end. What a predicament!
What I did know though was that I wanted this man to find happiness – and his quirky, relentless neighbor Jane was just the most perfect woman for that. Oh, how I loved how she peeled off his armor little by little, how she got under his skin little by little with Kyle being powerless to do anything against it. Jane was the light to Kyle’s gruesome dark.
Grumpy, lonesome, tattooed bad boy who only wants to hide after all he had to see and do in his five years undercover meets happy, content and simply adorable small-town girl who loves to throw around movie quotes and only wants for him to find that happiness too.
Them finding each other, plus the constantly underlying threat of those bad guys finding Kyle and his darkest secrets coming out and pushing Jane away made their story unputdownable for me.
Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield were both new narrators to me. Their performances were flawless and delivered with emotion to give the story one more extra layer. I will look up their other works for sure!

A dirty, filthy listen
Revisado: 12-30-18
Steamy, interesting, but not really believable most of the time. For starters, having a thing for her friends' dad is one thing, but seeing this man being intimate with his wife as a teenager ... I really had my problems with that. And I'm far from a prude, lol. Then Drake. Of course he also has an unhealthy obsession with now 18-year-old Ashley, down to installing cameras in her room like some creep without her knowledge. No matter his reasons behind that action ... just ...ooof! Filthy hermit that Ashley is, she is using a cam sites to do everything her "daddies" tell her to do - one of those men of course being Drake... And then there's the kidnapping I just don't get. It wasn't neccessary. At. All. All of this made it hard for me to establish a real connection to either of the characters.
The narrators are a good fit for each character, especially Logan McAllister whose narration makes it even filthier. Lacy Laurel's voice is kind of nasal, which, for some reason, I always find make the characters sound arrogant without even meaning to.
FILTHY CAM GIRL is well written and delivers some serious dirty, filthy scenes which makes this a hot little listen.

When someone needs to disappear, the Chicago mob calls on Joe Rossi. A man who can move without a sound and kill without a word, they don’t call him the Shadow for nothing. This time, it’s a New York crime family in need of his skills, but it takes one glimpse of her to make him agree to the job. Liliana Marcello is every inch a principessa della mafia. Her life has taught her to be wary of strangers, yet her ballet career contradicts everything by putting her on display. It’s a man with a dark smile and a constantly changing demeanor that makes her feel safe again.

Captivating Mafia Romance
Revisado: 11-28-18
Lilliana Marcello – graceful ballerina and mafia princess with a hurtful past – and Joe Rossi – reserved hitman with the heart in the right place – come together in the wonderful mafia romance that is CAPTIVATED by Bethany-Kris. It’s my first read – err, listen – by her and I enjoyed every second of it. It’s beautifully written and together with the colorful narration – and great accent! – by Daniel James Lewis it brings the characters to life perfectly.
Joe is good at what he does – and he prefers to stay in the shadows- Fitting for his job description: getting a job done and vanish before anyone ever realized he was even there. This all changes when he meets his perfect distraction in the form of Liliana – one glance is all it takes for him to know his life will never be the same again… It’s her innocence, her angelic features as a ballerina that draw him to her like moths to the flame, activate his alpha mode and with it a ferocious protectiveness over her… Swoon!
Liliana – don’t think you know her because she’s in the ballet and a principessa. Because she may be those things, but what she is not is snotty or stuck-up. She is living her life to the fullest despite the danger it brings living in her father’s world. And Joe definitely is part of that danger. But that just magnifies the allure he has over her. One glance and she knows she needs to know more about this man…
A dangerous love story with an intriguing plot about justice for terrible wrongs of the past and passion found in the unlikeliest of places with a person you never expected.
Thrilling, steamy and action-packed – spiked with a hero speaking Italian with his loved one. I thoroughly recommend this one.
