Chick lit fulfilled
Revisado: 03-06-17
This book is great for an easy listen if you are looking for quirky chick lit.
The story line was entertaining. My only complaint is that it drug on in places and could've been shorter.

Historia
For Charlotte Crawford, the worst part about being dumped after 20 years of marriage is that her husband, Jack, doesn't want another woman; he just doesn't want her. Forty-two and clueless, Charlotte is a fish out of water in a dating pool teeming with losers. Just when she thinks she's finally put her failed marriage behind her, it comes back to bite her in the ass...hard. Without warning, Charlotte finds herself staring down the barrel of a future she wouldn't (she would totally) wish on her worst enemy.

I really didn't expect all the language in this book. F bombs dropped frequently and seemed out of character and an attempt to make the writing/storyline better (which it didn't). The main character is miserable and self sabotaging.
The storyline is predictable. I would not recommend this to a friend.

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

I got this book by a recommendation from a friend. It did not disappoint. The characters are so fully developed and come to life you almost imagine them as part of your family too.

Great Plot-interesting twist!
Revisado: 01-21-16
Great plot. Interesting story line, although it dragged at times, I was curious to see what was going to happen. I have enjoyed multiple books by this author and already have another on my list. She does tend to be repetitious in her word choices though which makes you want to show her a thesaurus.
My biggest complaint was the narrator. Oh my goodness, it sounded like she was hoarse or sick or an old grandma. I will try to make note not to listen to any more books read by her. Honestly, I wanted someone to give her a drink of water or a cough drop!!
