Historia
When Grant Thomas, the handsome stranger standing in front of me in line at the coffee shop, stripped his uniform shirt off and handed it to me, I could have sworn I was on an episode of Punked. Not only was the man Gabe Kapler’s doppelganger, but he was also a pilot and good with babies, which my six month-old daughter could attest to as she settled in his arms while I changed into his shirt, contemplating all of my life choices at that moment.

The perfect ending to one of my favorite series!
Revisado: 04-26-25
I absolutely loved The Ladies Who Brunch series in audio. This series has stolen my heart and I love all these ladies so much, but Noelle and Grants story has to be my favorite. Their journey was relatable in so many ways and touched on real life struggles that couples face every day. Harlow James did an amazing job writing such a painstaking journey for this couple. Their story will give you hope that a happily ever after is out there, even when you're close to losing faith.
Not as planned is so raw and real and Conner Crais & CJ Bloom did a phenomenal job narrating Grant and Noelle. They brought so much emotion to these characters and narrated their story beautifully.
Noelle and Grant were each so vulnerable because of what they had been through before meeting. They may have found forever with one another but it was a long road there, and the most perfect coffee shop meet cute to ever exist. I don't think either of them thought a chance encounter involving leaking breast milk would lead to happily ever after.
Through their individual struggles amidst navigating a new relationship we see this couple grow and form a genuine, honest, unconditional love. The bond that Grant formed with Scarlett is the stuff single moms dream of finding. When a man can love your child as much as he loves you, he's a keeper. Let's not forget the steamy time...Grant and Noelle's chemistry and passion was off the charts! That sweet man had a dirty mouth and I was here for it! They completed one another in every single way.
Having the other Ladies who Brunch, and their hubby's make cameos to have their girls back made this well rounded story even better! I will forever love this found family and group of friends and know I will find myself re-listening to the series. I highly recommend Not As Planned - as well as the rest of the series in audio. You will not be disappointed!

All I wanted was one more hot night with the woman of my dreams. Instead, all I got was both of us drunk and accidently married at my resort. Maybe this isn’t such a bad deal, since we must stay together for my inheritance, but how do I explain that to the new Mrs. Cartwright? If we could stop flirting, kissing, and taking this too far one too many times... Don’t get me wrong, Lowri is gorgeous, smart, and spunky, but I don’t want a wife forever. Marriage isn’t for me. I’ve seen the pain it can cause, no matter what sparks fly between us.

Loved my first J.D. Carothers audiobook!
Revisado: 04-26-25
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to listen to my first J.D. Carothers book. I'm a big fan of romantic suspense and Reckless Chance gave the perfect blend of romance, spice, suspense, and such real and likable characters.
The dual narration by Kit Swann and Robert Hatchet as Lowri and Sean was incredible. The narrators can really make or break an audiobook for me and they were as great a team as our MC's.
The suspense and who done it kept me guessing until the culprit was revealed. I'll admit I had it wrong and was pleasantly surprised by how everything played out.
I loved the way Sean and Lowri worked together to solve the case, and ended up falling in love with all the danger and trouble around them. They were both such strong and dominant characters, and that doesn't usually work well for a couple, but for them it just did.
I enjoyed this so much that I'm going back to enjoy the first two in the series. And also hoping to get to enjoy some of those breadcrumbs on another couple soon...

From the time I was a little boy, sleeping with my head on a football, I’ve had one goal: carrying on the Bradford-family legacy. Our famous father trained all my older brothers and me to be star athletes just like him, but seven years later, I’m the only one still focused on the game. Until Raven Gale storms into my life. She’s smart, sassy, curves for days, and lightning in the sack. When I met her at my little sister’s wedding we bonded immediately over our dedication to our dreams, our determination to let nothing stop us, and our insatiable, all-night, barrier-busting chemistry.

The way I swooned for this man is unreal!
Revisado: 04-24-25
Football was Hendrix Bradford's life. Until it wasn't. That man was made to be a daddy and a husband and Raven and Haddie sure got lucky with him.
The way I swooned for this man is unreal. He stepped up for Raven and baby Haddie from day 1, no hesitation and that made me love him even more. I absolutely adored Raven and how strong and fierce she was after all she had been through with her parents. Don't even get me started on the way Hendrix stood up for her. That man was literal perfection.
The Bradford family is one special group of people and to be a part of their world is to be loved and cherished. I love how they're all a part of each other's stories, but don't take away from the leads in any way. They only add to the story in such a fantastic way.
Don't tell the others, but Hendrix, Raven (and sweet baby Haddie) just became my favorite. The connection and chemistry between Hendrix and Raven was electric and the mouth on that man...whew! They fit together so perfectly that you just knew it was always meant to be them.
Aaron Shedlock and Stefanie Kay were remarkable as Hendrix and Raven. They brought this couple to life in a way that made me feel like I was in the story with them. The emotions were so vivid throughout the story. The way Haddie said "dada" and "mama", seriously it doesn't get any cuter.
I cannot recommend this story, and the whole series, enough. An absolute MUST LISTEN!

That was the agreement between me and Maddox Taylor, the NFL’s most notorious playboy and mega-talented quarterback who happened to be out in California for one night—one night in which I broke all of my rules and gave in to the undeniable attraction I felt for the man. He wooed me with dirty jokes, 80s musical references, an obsession with Steve Harvey, and a very specific piercing. How the hell was I supposed to fight that?

An emotional but beautiful story for sassy Pen!
Revisado: 04-21-25
Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan did an amazing job narrating Penelope and Maddox. I can't get enough of narrator's making me feel like I know the characters through the story and they did that in Now's the Time.
I knew Penelope's story was going to be a good one based on the sass and independent woman vibes she gave off in the previous 2 books, but I was not ready for the emotional journey she took us on.
Having never gotten over the loss of her high school love, her first love and first everything, Penelope spends the next 12 years of her life detaching from connections with men, preferring hookups and moving on. Until she meets Maddox, the NFL QB that she felt an instant connection to.
After what was supposed to be a (very hot) one night stand, neither Maddox nor Penelope can stop thinking about each other. He knew from the moment they met that they had a connection and was determined to get her to admit it as well.
When she becomes the PR Rep for his new team, they are constantly in each others path, only spurring Maddox on to break through her walls even more. Try as she may, Penelope can't fight her attraction to him and agrees to give it a try, but still keeps her walls up as she starts to feel more and ore for Maddox.
As always, her girls are there for her and help talk her through what she's feeling once she finally opens up to them about what happened in her past. These ladies are the best of friends and I wish I could brunch with them. The found family they have in eachother is beautiful and we all need friends like that.
Returning home to say goodbye to her past, heal, and move on, Penelope realizes she loves Maddox and wants a future with him. Being the golden retriever that he is, Maddox welcomed her with open arms, and made her feel safe and loved enough to open up to him as well. When he shares what he went through in the past with his cousin, they realize they truly were meant to be and there was a reason for their instant attraction.
Of course, when they finally decide to go public, someone outs them first and causes issues with both their careers. I was so glad they quickly worked through that obsicle and came out even better from it with her landing a full time gig with his team.
Gah! The celebration after the big win...EPIC!!! I was so happy for Penelope and Maddox. I can't wait to hear more of them in Noelle's book! I love these ladies and the men they love so much, and I'm sad the series is getting ready to come to an end.

I don't ever want to leave Carrington Cove!
Revisado: 04-20-25
These couples, family, and friends are so special and Harlow James delivers an incredible story every single time. Not only does she gift us a book you don't want to put down, but she always chooses the perfect narrators to tell the story. Sebastian York was pure perfection as our all in cinnamon roll hero Grady, and Samantha Brentmoor never disappoints. She told Scottie's side so beautifully.
Grady and Scottie were best friends in high school, each harboring feelings that the other didn't know about and that they never acted on. When they go off to college and start the next phase of their lives, they eventually lose touch, but neither of them ever forgot about the other.
Years later Grady is back home in Carrington Cove, building a different life after his MLB career ended. He's at a crossroads of sorts when he runs into Scottie at a bar one random night. After not seeing each other for 17 years, their connection reignites instantly and they finally make the moves that neither of them did in the past. They share a night full of untamed passion, only for Grady to wake up to Scottie running away without a word.
Scottie has deep rooted trauma and hurt from her ex that has affected her to her core. Months after her steamy, life changing night with Grady, Scottie packs up her teenage son, Chase, and heads home to Carrington Cove. Of course life takes her on a detour she never saw coming, but could very well be the best thing that ever happened to her.
The connection Grady and Scottie had in the past, and continue to share in the present is undeniable. After Scottie's surprise is announced, Grady sees the life and future he wants and will stop at nothing to win the game and have Scottie and the family he wants with her by his side forever.
Grady is so incredibly patient and understanding with Scottie, trying to let her see and accept the end game on her own. The bond Grady forms with Chase after the garage incident, and subsequently coaching his baseball team plays a big role in Scottie coming around. When she finally sees and understands how Grady loves her and her son, she stood no chance at resisting this man any longer.
Grady and Scottie's story is one of patience, love, understanding and building the life you want with those you love. I really enjoyed catching up with Dallas & Willow and Penn & Astrid and seeing where their lives are heading. The role Astrid played in getting Scottie and Grady together, and the friendship she and Scottie formed was particularly heartwarming after the journey Astrid went through to her own HEA.
This is an absolute must listen!

Historia
Crushes are harmless—unless they involve your best friend’s grumpy, off-limits brother. Gannon Brewer is the epitome of my type. He’s at least ten years older than me, emotionally unavailable, and highly disagreeable—a walking red flag in a tailored suit. But do I listen to that? No. In fact, when his office plants start dying, I convince myself that I can ignore the pheromones and save the philodendron. Now I’m in his office every week, dodging sinful smirks and heated stares, reminding myself to reach for the watering can—not him. But one “ivy incident” changes everything.

Revisado: 04-20-25
Angelina Rocca and Jack Calihan were stunning as Gannon & Carys! This being my favorite Adriana couple to date I set the bar high for my audiobook expectations and this duo blew my expectations out of the water. If it's even possible, they took my favorite Adriana couple and made me love them even more. The Merger in audio is exactly why I'm an audiobook woman for life.
Gannon & Carys are my favorite Adriana couple yet!
We are not worthy of Gannon Brewer. Stoic, serious A-hole CEO by day and down bad golden retriever for his woman 24/7.
The will they or won't they between Carys and Gannon was absolute perfection. I was laughing out loud at her brazenness and witty personality from page one. I adored Carys and how she said what she felt and didn't back down on her attraction to Gannon. She kept throwing gasoline on the fire burning between them, and I kept wonder when Gannon was going to have his F-it moment. When he did...5 alarm fire!
Not only was their banter and chemistry top tier, but the way he supported her business and was there for her emotionally from the beginning spoke volumes to how great they were going to be together. I was so worried how Tate was going to take the news and it was both heartwarming and hilarious. The family group text were fantastic and I love that they all have eachothers backs through thick and thin.
Adriana Locke always delivers the most amazing stories with such lovable characters and I am so looking forward to more from this family. I have a feeling Tate's story is going to be hilarious.

One of my favorite songs growing up was Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield. Ironically enough, I never realized I’d be living out those lyrics in my own life when I fell for my best friend’s girl—and then my best friend, John Schmitt, died. Add on the fact that she was pregnant with his child and that I’d been harboring feelings for Evelyn months before all of this happened, and well, now? Now the lyrics to that song don’t sound so bad anymore.

Be prepared for your heart to be stolen!
Revisado: 04-17-25
Walker & Evelyn will steal your heart from the very beginning. That man is perfection personified. Their journey to HEA was full of pain and heartbreak from losing someone important to both of them, but it was also beautiful and heartwarming. They both ended up exactly where they belonged in the end.
When the one thing Evelyn loves more than anything is threatened, Walker takes matters into his own hands to ensure life stays as it should. When he stepped up for her, they grew closer and started to heal themselves and each other, while also falling in love and realizing fake wasn't really fake after all.
Dane Anderson and Angelina Rocca did a fantastic job narrating Walker & Evelyn. The emotion they gave made the characters feel real and vulnerable and helps the listener connect with them and the story even more.
I'm convinced no one can do small town, heart wrencing and heartwarming like Harlow James. The way she weaves a story and series is like no other. She is my top auto read author for a reason!

Lumberjack perfection! Absolutely loved!
Revisado: 04-17-25
Aiden Snow and Millie Stark were fantastic as Owen & Lila. I loved getting to experience my first lumberjack romance all over again. Aiden Snow had the absolute perfect (what I imagine it to be) lumberjack voice, and Mollie Stark nailed sweet Lilah. I couldn't imagine a better duo to narrate Owen & Lila's story. Simply perfect from beginning to end.
Daphne Elliot is a lumberjack loving, brilliant writer and she has made me fall in love with lumberjacks too! I will forever be in my lumberjack era.
Caught in the Axe is book 1 in the Maine Lumberjacks series and Lila and Own kicked off this series spectacularly.
Owen is a man in love, love and is willing to do anything for Lila. He fell first, fast, and HARD! The way he supports her dreams and always wants the best for her made my heart pitter patter throughout the book. He catered to her celiac disease, and always made sure she had snacks and food that wouldn't make her sick *swoon* like it was his life long mission to care for her. Lila was a determined woman, had a plan, and wasn't going to let anyone or anything stand in her way. That is until Owen came back to Lovewell to sell the family business.
These two had instant chemistry. Their banter was A+ and the sparks were flying! The forbidden, brothers ex aspect just made their relationship all the more enticing for me. There is no man that would ever love and cherish Lila more than Owen. Owen has raised the bar for book boyfriend expectations and anyone else will have a hard time comparing.
When Lila seduced Owen, whooo weeee!!! Hot! Hot! Hot! That man was ruined. He thought he was coming back to Lovewell to sell the business and would quickly resume life back in Boston as he knew it. He didn't stand a chance of life ever being the same after meeting Lila.
This story was so well developed and the family and friends added more dimension to an already brilliant story. I can't wait for more!
We cannot forget about our boy, Clive the moose. *hehehe* Not only did he get Owen before he even made it into town, he had Lila running for dear life as well. He sure is an A-hole but we love that moose like no other.

You’ve heard the story about the best friends since childhood, the boy and girl who secretly love each other but are too scared to admit it, right? Well, have you heard the one where the twin brother of the boy steps in and kisses the girl to make his brother jealous? No? Then let me enlighten you. Wyatt Gibson has been my best friend since we were in diapers, and I’ve loved him since we were ten. But when Wyatt left for college and I stayed back in our hometown of Newberry Springs, Texas, I gave up on the idea of us ever ending up together, even though he kissed me the night before he left.

The perfect small town, angsty second chance.
Revisado: 04-14-25
This was the sweetest, most heartwarming friends to lovers story and I absolutely loved Wyatt and Kelsea's journey. Harlow James does romance like a boss!
Wyatt and Kelsea were childhood best friends that fell in love with each other at a young age, neither realizing at the time what that would come to mean many years later, they are the very definition of soulmates.
I'm usually a jump right into the fire type of reader but the slow burn and angst between Wyatt and Kelsea was absolutely perfect for their story because when the chemistry hit it's breaking point the fire burned bright. I wasn't expecting Wyatt to be such a possessive alpha but I was here for it! You'll need a fan for that shower scene! Whoo Weee!!!
It came down to who was going to break first because the feelings they had for each other were clear to everyone but them. Walker was a genius with his little plan to push his twin brother to finally get his girl. The growling from Wyatt was priceless and HOT!
Throwing caution to the wind and going for it was hard for Wyatt and Kelsea because they were both scared of losing their friendship, but they finally realized they had everything to gain instead of everything to lose.
Angelina Rocca and Dane Anderson were fantastic as Kelsea and Wyatt. The narrator choice always makes such a difference for me in telling a story and they were perfect for this small town, angsty friends to lovers romance.

I hate that part in a wedding, where everyone waits on pins and needles to see if someone has a reason why the couple shouldn’t get married. So, when I ran into my high school sweetheart and found out that she was engaged, I said my peace before she ever walked down the aisle. Shauna and I crossed paths when I went to Las Vegas for work, and sharing one meal with her was enough for me to remember why no other woman has even come close to affecting me the way she did.

The perfect ending to an amazing series!
Revisado: 04-13-25
This series has been absolutely amazing in audio! I don't want to pick a favorite because I loved them all equally, but I was anticipating Forrest and Shauna's second chance so much! I just HAD to know what happened with them in the past and where they ended up in the future. I needed to know what made Forest the grump that he was because of course it was a woman!
Harlow James did not disappoint with the conclusion to this great series! I wanted to be mad at Shauna for breaking young Forrests' heart, but when it was revealed why, I felt for the both of them but understood where her head was at. When they were younger, it's quite possible he loved her too much, especially considering what he gave up for her.
When they come across each other 15 years later in Vegas, and her fiancé joins their re-meet cute, my jaw dropped. I am so glad Forrest fought for his woman (yes, engaged or not she was always his), and that Shauna made the right choice in going after her man. That woman was not going down without a fight and I loved it!
The passion, love and chemistry between Forrest and Shauna was unparalleled. They were tulle two halves to a whole.
Dane Anderson and Angelina Rocca were once again fantastic as narrators. I loved that they narrated each of the books but brought something different to each couple.
