Historia
Leland Gaunt opens a new shop in Castle Rock called Needful Things. Anyone who enters his store finds the object of his or her lifelong dreams and desires: a prized baseball card, a healing amulet. In addition to a token payment, Gaunt requests that each person perform a little "deed", usually a seemingly innocent prank played on someone else from town. These practical jokes cascade out of control, and soon the entire town is doing battle with itself. Only Sheriff Alan Pangborn suspects that Gaunt is behind the population's increasingly violent behavior.

Whose idea was the annoying music?
Revisado: 12-02-24
The story was great sans the distracting weird music that plays at each chapter transition. It is totally detracting from what could otherwise be a fantastic listen; which is really saying something considering King narrates it personally, and he isn’t on my long list of favorites.

What a flop. Sequels suck, but this is next level garbage.

Terrible. I wish I’d never read the first one, just so I wouldn’t have reason to have read the second. It’s like it wasn’t even written by the same author. Just terrible.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Another hit for King and Numrich
Revisado: 12-20-22
Title. A great book read beautifully by Seth. I haven’t read too many King novels, so it was hard for me to imagine a quality fantasy adventure, but this really delivered.

Not that great, unfortunately
Revisado: 08-05-22
I have been reading these since 2017, when I was 17, So maybe I’ve matured more than the writing, but this felt very…clunky? Young? I don’t know. It just didn’t feel like it had proper flow. Full of seemingly unnecessary F-bombs, odd dialogues,
I’m glad I read it and I’m very happy the 15 year story has come to an end, but the ultimate conclusion was a bit of a let down.

Great conclusion to the series
Revisado: 03-14-22
Title. Would have loved resolution on what the entity was that popped out of the mirror in Magic Beach, or what the pulsing light was at the storm grate with the lightning bolt symbol, but I guess that will be left to the imagination.

Another great one by the great one. Great paced book. No crazy action scenes or insane twists in this one, but still a fun and entertaining read.
Could have done without the political aspect, but it was minor.

Pun intended on that title. No spoiler, just be ready for this one. Great book and once again Reilly renews my childhood dream of being an archeologost. I loved the historical and archeological tie-ins from various myths and legends. Great read.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.
