Just As Challenging As Bricklayer!

Boyd does it again! What a perfect follow up to Bricklayer. I love when I can't figure everything out before the book is done. The other real pleasure here was the narrator, John Pruden. I read Bricklayer but listened to Agent X. I will definitely be looking for more from him.... And more from Noah Boud!

Would you listen to Outlander again? Why?
Definitely. As many times as I have read the books over the years, Davina Porter absolutely brings the story to life. Her voice is so similar to Caitrona Balfe on the Starz series of Outlander, that it is beautifully seamless to read the books, listen to Davina and watch the TV series!
Who was your favorite character and why?
It's a toss-up between Jamie and Claire, of course, but also Duncan. He's quite a rare character.
Which scene was your favorite?
The wedding night between them...Jamie's first time!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, when she returned to him instead of going through the stones.
Any additional comments?
These are extraordinary books on their own, but Davina has made them even more so. Her portrayal of the character voices is so clear that I feel as if I am watching the story unfold. Audible, how smart you are to have Davina Porter read all the books!!

I read some of the less than great reviews for this one and decided they had read a different book! It was great typical Reacher, serious bad guys and Reacher figuring a complicated situation out. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely, especially for those who commute. It's a great story and helps the time pass quickly
What did you like best about this story?
The character. Mark Dawson creates some really messed up and totally mesmerizing characters. They have awful, violent pasts but you really, really like them - even if they aren't nice!
What does Mark Deakins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
It's nice being read to by someone with a wonderful voice. I haven't been read to since I was a kid so the experience was definitely of the warm and fuzzy variety, in spite of the story line!!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Have really enjoyed Mark's other books and hope he continues to occasionally offer the audible versions.
