A realistic look at what our fathers had to do during WWII

This book is like no other book that I’ve listen to & I have been doing this since 1999. It’s like listening to your father & his buddies when they come over for a Sunday barbecue after they’ve had one beer to many talk about the exploits they did when they were young.

What disappointed you about The Arrival?
I have been an audible customer since 2003. Never in all those years have I hear a performance as god awful as the performance that I was just put through. I like premise of the book but the narrator RUINED the book.
What didn’t you like about Elliot Schiff’s performance?
I have heard better readings from my eighth grade english literature class.

Good Try but no quite there!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I can not stress this enough. The narrater is critical. I did not enjoy Adam Hanin's performance. He does not have the presents that you find in narrators such as,Brick,Farrell and Guidall.

Anything by DeMille,Thor,Clancy,Child,Berenson

The author got lost in the details of the weapon systems,they are like special effect, to much can ruin the story. It all comes back to the basic's, IT'S THE STORY!
