Not one single likeable character
Revisado: 04-04-23
This will be my last book in this series. It started off interesting and enjoyable but I realized that every character is a miserable person. Even James McGill has become unbearable.

Historia
More than a year after she helped save the world from the Sparnaxian invasion, Andrea Vernon is in a good place. Her boss is giving her greater responsibility and she’s getting to travel a lot (although her fill-in is hopeless at making coffee); things could be getting even more serious with her 8’ 4” superhero boyfriend, The Big Axe; and she has a really fun new BFF, Never More. Small issue, though, with that last item - Never More is a supervillain bent on world domination, and it looks as if nothing can stop her.

a little too Timely
Revisado: 06-21-19
This one hits a little too close to home to be enjoyable. A little too much like the current state of America and the world to be much fun.

It was poorly written from the start
Revisado: 06-28-15
It was poorly written from the beginning but it was the three chapters of torture that just put me off. There comes a point where you wonder if the writer is just not enjoying this a little too much.

Awesome FUN
Revisado: 12-24-12
Where does Monster Hunter International rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Definitely one of my favorite series of all time. Z is just awesome.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the variety of characters and how well you get to know and empathize with the main characters in the story. Come on, a world populated with Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies. You have to love it.
What about Oliver Wyman’s performance did you like?
He did a great job of giving each character a different voice but not so unique that it was annoying.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Once you get going it is very hard to stop listening.

First contact: the dream that became a nightmare when the first alien life encountered swarmed locust-like through the solar system. Merciless. Relentless. Unstoppable. With little hope of halting the invading forces, Earth's last, desperate roll of the die was to send out three colony ships - seeds of Earth - to different parts of the galaxy

Worst EVER!
Revisado: 12-24-12
What would have made Seeds of Earth better?
Try to listen to the sample before you waste your credit here. This is one of the worst written books I have come across in years. There are just so many characters and he jumps from one to the other before you gain any emotional attachment to the character.
What was most disappointing about Michael Cobley’s story?
He jumped so much from one scene to the next that I found myself thinking about other things and not even caring what I missed.
Did David Thorpe do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The only amazing thing about this book is how the narrator manages to work with so many different voices. Even that gets bad because some of the accents are so intense that you just can not understand what is being said. Many of the characters in this book have a very strong Irish or Scottish accent that makes it nearly impossible for the rest of us to follow.

Why??
Revisado: 10-17-11
I LOVED the previous two books however this one spends so much time in the whole Latino/Anglo culture clash that I almost forgot what the story was about. Rather than understanding the cultural issues I walked away thinking that the Latinos are idiots, and I AM LATINO! I am not sure what the whole point of that was other than to show how the Human/Rangora cultures have a hard time understanding each other but it was not worth the effort. I LOVE John Ringos works but I could have done with out most of this book.

Struggling to keep listening
Revisado: 05-05-11
I am almost six hours into this book and am constantly thinking that I am going to move on to something else. The thing is that I just hate to waste my credits on a book and not listen to it. The main problem I have with this is that it is very hard to follow. The majority of the book is in dialogue form and I keep feeling like I walked into the middle of a conversation and I have no idea who the people are and what came before. During any scene I constantly ask myself who is this again? And yes I agree with some of the reviews that say that the accents are just very hard to follow. I love this narrator and his work on Peter F Hamilton's Void series but this is not his finest work.

Waste of time
Revisado: 03-24-10
I really can not say which is worse the story or the narrator. The story is so slow that I found myself not paying attention to large segments of it and not caring enough to go back and re-listen to find out what happened which no doubt didn't matter anyway. The narrator has a way of reading each sentence then pausing so a very slow story is painfully drawn out. I forced my self to finish it then when I did not really caring what happened I realized that there was a SECOND part. ARRRHHH!

Distracting Reader
Revisado: 02-07-08
Overall I did like this book and would recommend it but you have to be patient. It gets off to kind of a slow start and to make things worse the reader is well.. kind of annoying. I could ignore the long pauses but the constant loud inhaling is VERY distracting. Could they not edit that out.
...INHALE CATCH MY BREATH,,,,,LET IT OUT... KEEP READING...
