Captivating and emotional

The start of this book stressed me out. I had to keep reminding myself that the main character likely didn’t end up succumbing to all the contrived challenges others threw in her path. Overall, I loved the story, and connected deeply with the characters, going through a range of emotions as the they dealt with grief, defiance, and loyalty.

A good story, ending falls short.

I love the attempt of the author to tell a story involving geo politics, but it is geared towards an adolescent audience more than the author's other books.
