Historia
His passport read Giovanni Rossi. But decades ago, during the Urban Wars, he was part of a small, secret organization called The Twelve. Responding to an urgent summons from an old compatriot, he landed in New York and eased into the waiting car. And died within minutes… Lieutenant Eve Dallas finds the Rossi case frustrating. She’s got an elderly victim who’d just arrived from Rome; a widow who knows nothing about why he’d left; an as-yet unidentifiable weapon; and zero results on facial recognition.

Summerset's past history was interesting. The plot was fairly good.Overall it was what I have come to expect from JD Robb. I hope the next one will surprise me. I have read them all. I have my favorites.

Historia
Doctor Fionn Kane is running from a broken heart, one he hopes to mend in small-town Nebraska, far away from his almost-fiancé and his derailed surgical career. It’s a simpler life: head down, hard work, and absolutely no romantic relationships. He wants none of the circus he left behind in Boston.

Nothing really stood out. The fun element was mostly missing with few exceptions.
Revisado: 02-20-25
It was the third in a series. This was a slam without the dunk. I somehow thought there would be more interesting characters. More humor. This book was mostly cerebral. Lots of in your head and repetition of thoughts. Not nearly as fun as the first two.

It's nice to revisit a world you have been to many times with a people you have become accustomed. But nothing exciting awaits. Like an old comfortable shoe, when you are looking for some kick ass boots.

most of the story was in very in your head stilted conversation.
Revisado: 10-19-24
This book was mostly written in head conversations. They were formal and stiff.
No connection to the Hh. This kind of book happens with this Author who I have read for years. The Narrator is not my favorite because he reads without much change in his tone and inflections. For any situation. This is where a fan base stays loyal No matter what and gives a book a higher rating than reality dictates. This is my last attempt at this series.

Historia
Trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci doesn’t need any more kinks. She likes the one she’s landed on just fine. To her, nothing could top the masked men she follows online. Unless one of those men was shirtless, heavily tattooed, and waiting for her in her bedroom. She dreams about being hunted by one in particular, of him chasing her down and doing deliciously dark things to her willing body. She never could have guessed that by sending one drunken text, those dreams would become her new reality.

actually, not one thing stood out.
Revisado: 10-02-24
The cover of the book was interesting. I think that's what captured my eye. Starting off in an emergancy room was hopeful.... but then nothing. characters sorta blended into a non discript background. The cat had the best part. This book was just average in all aspects of plot, side characters, and the two main H and h. This type of book can offen fall short of so much. Two introverted and unrelatable consenting adults working out their own personal fantasy's.

different story line is original. lacks humor.. Cliffhangers are bad. And the utter dispare like torturing anything is acceptable is weird.

A little murder and mathematics on those who would escape justice.
Revisado: 08-07-24
A bit different concept with a lot of " in your head" romance until a bit later in the book.. The two books ( from the series) I have read are fairly expected characters with the men being tortured, strong and tattooed. Of little words. Emotionally stunted. Women are beautiful, sassy, tortured and suffering from the worst ptsd episodes. All are geniuses. Some laughter (both light and dark.) Kinked realativs and friends. a HEA. Oh and the psyco of the psych's which is usually a villan and some canabilism which is kinda the gross factor. meant to shock. So I thought I read about vampires sometimes and gave it a go.

My name is Mercy Thompson Hauptman, and my mate, Adam, is the werewolf who leads the Columbia Basin Pack, the pack charged with keeping the people who live and work in the Tri-Cities of Washington State safe. It’s a hard job, and it doesn’t leave much room for side quests. Which is why when I needed to travel to Montana to help my brother, I intended to go by myself.

this second book was a funeral walk without a body to bury at the conclusion.
Revisado: 06-27-24
I disliked The monotonous tone of the Narrator. her unrelenting cadence of sad, hopeless, helpless inflections until the ending.... was relentless and so so hard to listen to without any relief in sight. The main female character just got everything wrong. it wasn't a matter of growing up emotionally. it was just constant wrong reactions until I wanted to put her into therapy for an extensive work up and treatment program and on an in-patient basis. She was a constant danger to herself and others. where was the snark? The humor? This part should have been a chapter not a book.
