Historia
If the broken neon signs, shuttered storefronts, and sub-standard housing didn’t tip you off, you’ve just wandered into the city of “Undisclosed”. You don’t want to be caught dead here, because odds are you just might find yourself rising from the grave. That hasn’t stopped tourists from visiting to check out the unusual phenomena that hangs around our town like radioactive fallout. Interdimensional parasites feeding on human hosts, paranormal cults worshipping demonic entities, vengeful teenage sorcerers, we’ve got it all.

Really good
Revisado: 03-04-23
As good as the others, and a great continuation of the series. Some of the dialogue seemed forced. For instance, analogies made to be gross would be fine but came across as very forced in the moment. Still loved the book!

please fix this. It could be good, however the embarrassing narration is similar to Hogan's Heroes. Let the story speak please.

Enjoyed it; inspiring
Revisado: 04-28-19
Inspiring book about the authors running career and more importantly spiritual journey. Ryan explains how he became closer to God through running, and how focusing on God Gabe him the freedom to run his best race both spiritually and physically. Overall an inspiring book for runners and specifically runners interested in the faith/meditation aspect of running.

Can a simple concept shift your entire world? Bob certainly thinks so. When it comes to loving your neighbors, instead of focusing on having the “right answers” or checking the “right boxes”, what if you decide to simply do love? To shamelessly show love and grace to those around you—what would that look like? Not the kind of love that stops at thoughts and feelings, Bob's love takes action. Bob believes Love Does.

Great narration, easy story. The book was motivating, interesting, and engaging. The author does a good job of making the listener believe in the possibility of success and highlights how misses can be a positive.

Historia
Here for the first time, in rich human, political, and scientific detail, is the complete story of how the bomb was developed, from the turn-of-the-century discovery of the vast energy locked inside the atom to the dropping of the first bombs on Japan. Few great discoveries have evolved so swiftly - or have been so misunderstood. From the theoretical discussions of nuclear energy to the bright glare of Trinity, there was a span of hardly more than 25 years.

Surprised at the ratings...........
Revisado: 03-23-19
The book winds on about many irrelevant details. In doing so the narrative becomes lost and it becomes the story of a lot of things with little to tie it together. When the author does detail the parts of the bomb it becomes good, with good descriptions of the physics (though hardly comprehensive). Oddly some notable scientists are ignored, and a fairly significant plot by the Russians is ignored. Details about Japans atomic capabilities are factually inaccurate presumably because the author used secondary works which were inaccurate themselves.
Towards the end glaring historical revisionism takes place. The author weaves stories of the Japanese extreme willingness to fight to the last person throughout. Those stories are accurate. However they are used in a way to morally justify the atomic bomb with the author trying to build into a convincing narrative. It becomes a case of clear bias. I am not stating whether it was or was not moral, I am stating that the author unequivocally displays bias. Many well documented quotes from military leaders and their opinions are flatly avoided. Not mentioned at all. Each of those quotes were against the decision to bomb. Again, that does not mean it should or should not have happened. However by omission this becomes a work of historical revisionism.
Ultimately the destination is not at all worth the dull journey.

With year-round freezing rain and howling winds, it is one of the most forbidding places in the world. To be shipwrecked there means almost certain death. In 1864, Captain Thomas Musgrave and his crew of four aboard the schooner Grafton wreck on the southern end of the island. Utterly alone in a dense coastal forest, plagued by stinging blowflies and relentless rain, Captain Musgrave inspires his men to take action.
