Historia
Angela Harrelson grew up poor, one of 13 brothers and sisters raised in a shack in the North Carolina woods. She was first in her family to go to college, first to be commissioned in the military, and first to have a career as a professional nurse. Along the way, she and her family were exposed to the harshest forms of racism - from her childhood riding the school bus with White children who made the Black kids stand, to racist commanding officers in the Air Force who told her they wanted her to fail.

Jamaican Brit Woman, loved it
Revisado: 03-03-22
Symona's experiences are very relatable. As a young Jamaican British woman, whose fertility clock is on the last wind, I appreciated Symona's experience. Could we have a part deux, s'il vous plait ?

Historia
When we meet Joseph Patrick, he’s in the midst of a classic midlife crisis. After dropping an obscene amount of money on a luxury watch — and leaving his wallet at the store — Joseph hops into a rented Porsche and takes off across the desert. He no sooner hits the open road than a coyote darts in front of the speeding car, wrecking it and leaving Joseph stranded in the heat, with no cell phone service — and no ID.

40% of a story. Abruptly ended with more to tell
Revisado: 11-25-21
The storyline was a bit confusing in the beginning going back to great grandparents, which was unnecessary. The moral of the story was good but it was too superficial with an unexpected abrupt ending. Did annoy me that the narrator kept calling plates "plates". The correct pronunciation is " platts". No value with the abrupt ending. Glad it was free.

Historia
Motherhood isn’t easy, especially when you’re a mother of a Black son. Ten years ago, Cheryl jumped at the chance to send her son, Javonte, to an exclusive boarding school in New England - far away from Atlanta and the violence of the city streets. It was the American dream, or was it? Now settled in Vermont, Javonte is married and well-employed, but Cheryl hardly ever sees him, and when she does, her own son seems like someone she only used to know.
