Lots of threads were tied off in this story. Threads you didn't even realize you wanted to know more about! I kept picturing Jimmy off of Yellowstone, which was mildly distracting... but he did a great job of narrating this story. I liked this book 10x more than Songbirds & Snakes.

A Great Tale of Survival

Although they REALLY overuse "reconnoiter" in this story...it's description of survival is believable, realistic and it often creates the feeling of claustrophobia...in a good way!

High School-Volume 2

This is not for adults. It's another teenaged viirgin female lead that brings along her strong boy along to save the day. Perfect for high school girls...saccharine, ridiculous, annoying listen for anyone with 2 brain cells. It's well-written and obvious that the author is talented, but the constant "hi beautiful", "oooh his muscles are so big...I may faint", I love this boy AND this other boy...whatever shall I do???" is so overdone! Think Katniss Everdeen meets Bella whoever from Twilight. It's almost unreadable!

if you love a long tease with no payoff...here you go. Jessica Chastain's performance was incredible. The story itself was unique, well thought out, and had amazing potential. I'm hoping that there's going to be a next installment of this story. If this is the end of the story...shame on you.

I thoroughly enjoyed the exciting conclusion to the original Alex Hawk trilogy. I know the story continues with several more books, but it seems that the major storyline plots are tied up. A lot of unnecessary deaths IMHO.
It's a well-constructed story arc, with likeable characters. I don't know what their names are though! He could've switched his wife's name halfway through and I wouldn't have noticed. They all sound the same and there's no way to differentiate between them. That is my major gripe with these books.
I still enjoyed them though.

Roy Dotrice is incredible!

No matter how frustrated you might be with GRRM, listening to the incomplete saga as narrated by Roy Dotrice is as good as it gets.

COME ON GEORGE... FINISH IT ALREADY!

Emotionally explosive and entertaining!

There comes a point in a reader's life where you find a book that completely rewrites the rules. Andy Weir has done this for me. I felt like crying over an alien spider and a fictitious world that might be lost forever. I don't know how the author does it. If you are looking for a story to transport you among the stars, this audiobook is for you.

Ray Porter is probably 1 of the top 3 narrators around. His voices along with the studio-quality sound design makes this audiobook so much fun to experience.

Narrator was amazing!

This final installment was all over the place...sometimes it was impossible to follow the timeline. The overall story was ingenious and well thought out...but from the reader's perspective, it was tough to follow. After a while, I quit trying and just accepted that it didn't make sense. This trilogy was as entertaining as any that I've read... and the unique voices that the narrator provided for the many characters made the listening experience second-to-none. Well done.
