connection over communication
Revisado: 08-07-24
I think the concept of connection enhancing communication and the concept of practice instead of talking is essential

Historia
Reports to write, forms to fill, coffee to drink, leads to run down. Gus’s life was a tedium and boredom he’d grown comfortable with. One that he sought out after he’d come back from his tour of duty. A detective in the paranormal investigations department. A job he could work day in and day out in relative peace. One cold and forgotten cup of coffee at a time. It was an environment that made some sense to him. At least in comparison to civilian life where almost nothing did. On top of that, it gave him a chance to hide what he was from the rest of the world.

stupendous
Revisado: 07-10-21
so I'm about halfway through this book and I can honestly say, I'm not sure if the writing is good or not. It's hard to tell. You know, when you have a narrator that does an Exquisite job, she can make a boring book sound phenomenal. Likewise, a narrator that is crap can make the best novel sound boring. Andrea Parsneau gives this novel the feeling of a full cast of characters, all of whom are excellent voice actors. Andrea is, without a doubt in my mind, one of the best narrators I have ever heard. She makes men sound like men, women sound like women and different ethnic and Regional voices absolutely believable. I assume this is a well-written book because it was very intriguing and seems to have a great storyline, but honestly, it's hard to tell for sure. Andrea makes this novel sing. She is the star of this saga. Great work, Andrea.

Every person has a story to tell, but few beginners know how to uncover their story's narrative potential. And despite a growing interest among students and creative writers, few guides to the genre of memoirs and creative nonfiction highlight compelling storytelling strategies.

Great content, poor narration
Revisado: 03-22-19
Despite the poor narration this audiobook is a great resource with great content about writing a memoir. I'm working on my first memoir, and the information inside this book has been valuable.
