This is a truly beautlful story, written in an interesting format that keeps the reader (listener) engaged and wanting for more. It's an emotional rollercoaster showing a literary fiction representation of terminal illness, greif, and what could come after loss. I absolutely recommend this to anyone and everyone who reads; I'm so glad I took a chance on this new (to me) author.

This novella is poorly written; VV doesn't help.

This novella is poorly written, relies too heavily on adverbs to describe literally everything, and couldn't even be bothered to have a true narration. The author willingly chose virtual voice/computerized narration instead of a person who could attempt to bring the story to life. It's cringy, screams AI/little care for more than pumping out a book as quickly as possible, and I can't bring myself to finish even such a short story.

This one started out slow, but it was a wonderful friends-to-lovers Christmastime read. When Marlo is scorned by her long-term boyfriend shortly before the holidays, her roommate (Alex) swoops in to save Christmas....and maybe steal her heart.

This was my second listen through and even though I already knew what to expect, I was still caught off guard by her audacity. I quite like this book, but it's not for the feint of heart! Enjoy at your own risk. :)

This book was a random shot in the dark, and boy am I glad I gave it a shot! Unreasonably well written for a book about imaginary friends and where they go once we don't need them anymore, The Imaginary Corpse shot up to one of my favorite books ever. It covers challenging topics such as greif, depression, trauma, figuring out your sexuality and pronouns, and more in such an easily digestable way while not taking away from the main plot of the book: a murder mystery with a stuffed triceratops detective on the case. The way imagination and reality are blended together here is just beautiful. I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon this book and I can't wait to share it with everyone I know!

I think Mistress of Hours has officially surpassed The Songbird and the Forest as my favorite Emma Elizabeth book so far.

There's fantasy, mystery, monsters, romance, intrigue, betrayal, and such a true, palpable love. I could not get enough of these characters - I read the physical book in two days and the audiobook in just a few hours!

Dare I say, I may have even found an inspirational quote for my wedding vows among the pages of this masterpiece?!

I'm beyond grateful to have stumbled upon Emma Elizabeth's work right from the start. I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for these characters, or for us readers. At the very least, we're set up for a storyline continuation in a future novel thanks to quite the cliffhanger!

The audiobook was just as incredible an experience as reading the words. I'm so excited to have both options!

Since The Songbird & The Forest came out earlier this year, I've been obsessed with Emma Elizabeth's writing. Her monsters are unique, there's such depth to the characters, and this duo is no exception. I love the dichotomy between a necromancer and a druid falling in love, and boy howdy do they! This is a hot, 18+ listen, but absolutely worth the time!

This quick, steamy, and whitty listen will have you on the best rollercoaster of emotions! Although The Lion & The Theif is a novella, it is jam packed with sapphic monster goodness. I couldn't get enough when I read Mav and Coll's story, and now to have the audiobook is just *chef's kiss*. PLEASE do yourself a favor and give this book a listen. It, and frankly everything Emma Elizabeth writes, is phenomenal. I just can't get enough!
