This isn’t it
Revisado: 06-26-24
I honestly couldn’t stand the main character after a couple chapters. I actually skipped chapters and this was so slow moving that I skipped a few chapters and missed nothing. I’d have been really annoyed if I paid for this.
The main character is not realistic, he’s a complete a&$hole, and I got real tired of hearing dollars and race descriptions. This should be more of a low level how-to build an empire book, though I don’t know that it would really work for your average person.

Is there a part 2?
Revisado: 05-17-24
The ending completely threw me. I get the story of the dew breaker and all of the connections to other characters in the story. However, it feels incomplete. So many people recognize him and know what he’s done, now what? There needs to be a continuation showing how the other characters from good previous life in Haiti conclude their stories now that they’ve found him in New York.

Historia
They say it’s best to bury your past, but for one misguided grave robber - the past is an obsession. When Althea Rose learns that a grave robber has infiltrated Tequila Key, she does her best to pretend she’s not interested. No, she doesn’t want to hear more details. And she most certainly does not want to help Chief Thomas track down the industrious body thief. Only when one comes knocking at her door in the middle of the night - a corpse, that is - does Althea realize she’ll need to get a little help from her friends to rid her garden of otherworldly pests.

Great story, too whiny
Revisado: 01-05-23
I love the Althea Rose books, however, after the first two, the narrator changed and it was a struggle to get through them due to the overly whiny narration. The exaggerated word endings were too much. I almost didn't finish them because it's so hard to listen.
About the story, I love that O'Malley brought in Althea's parents and helped us really get to know them and that Althea finally got comfortable with her magick. The ending was great and although it seems this is the end of the series. I would definitely love a follow-up with a more mature Luna and Althea, but with a different narrator, please.

Fame is a tricky business, as Althea Rose learns firsthand when the spotlight-seekers sweep into Tequila Key after rumors of a psychic reality show hit the headlines. Even more annoying are the tabloid photographers who insist on taking photos of Althea in the most unflattering positions - like bending over to take off her wet suit. Who wants their bum plastered across the cover of a magazine?

The narrator killed it for me
Revisado: 10-22-22
I should’ve waited a few months after listening to the fourth book before listening to this one. I love the characters, the storyline although impossible make for fun fiction. This narrator however, made me want to hurry up and finish the book. She made all the characters sound extremely whiny and it was really irritating listening to her. I want to get number six, but I saw that it’s the same narrator, so I’m really struggling with making that purchase.

Historia
I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.

In The Beach Club, the juicy first novel by Elin Hilderbrand, a series of personal dramas are played out during one summer at a Nantucket Beach Club. It's about the love of summer, summer love, and the special feelings we all have for that special summer place—in this case, a hotel and an island.

Don’t waste your credit
Revisado: 12-04-21
I really like Hilderbrand’s books; this one however, not so much. There were too many storylines, no real closure to any of them. The narration was annoying at times, and the actions of some of the characters, especially during the hurricane, were just outright unbelievable. I hate that I wasted a credit on this one.

Each victim is a young woman. And each has been killed in a manner as precise as it was gruesome. Tasked with working alongside the FBI, Bennett and his gung-ho new partner uncover multiple cold-case homicides across the country that fit the same distinctive pattern—proving the perpetrator they seek is as experienced at ending lives as he is at evading detection.
