The main character never improves.

This series is pretty good in the first few books but the main character never grows or learns from her mistakes. The main character is still immature, impulsive, stupid and irrational. It becomes tedious and exhausting to listen to a story with the world the author has created. I’ve noticed this is just how the author writes. Sorry to say but this is my last book in this series.

Bad Narration!

Awful narration. Had to switch to actually reading the story. Story is wasn’t awful but went on & on & on & on & on . . . The little details were over done to the extent it took away from the story.
If an abridged version was available I may have been able to give this story a higher rating but as is, I didn’t like it & will not be reading this author anytime soon & definitely NOTHING this narrator does that needs an accent.

Female Character is too Unlikeable for this to be a Good Book

Really Like the “Idea” of the Story.
Here’s the ’but’ the Main Female Character is VERY ANNOYING! Also, very immature, simpering, ridiculous. It detracts from the entire story. Mountains made out of mole hills with communication between the Male & Female Characters. The female character is detestable & unlikeable when it comes to the interaction with the Male Character. I didn’t like that so many words were thrown in about communication break between the two main characters of the story, it made it seem like word count filler to make the story longer.
I actually felt sorry for the Male Character in the story. If this was the author’s intention then she did a great job creating a very unlikeable Female Character. Although, I thought it just detracted from the story, enough so that I could only give 3 Stars. I would have given a higher rating if there was a more likeable female character.

Please Use Different Voice & Tone for the Children’s Voice!!

The AudioBook was a decent story. Nothing stood out to make it a memorable book but it was a good AudioBook/Book Listen/Read.
The Narrator, Brad Wills does a good job narrating the different story characters “EXCEPT” the voice for the child (Lilly) in this story. It’s BAD, like really really BAD! The child’s voice could have been narrated that way at the Author request, so if that is the case Brad Wills did a good job. If the narrative was left to the creative expression of the narrator, then it was over the top annoying, distracting and completely messes with the flow of the story. The child’s story character is VERY startling because of the sudden increase of the volume level compared to the other story characters. The child’s story character voice used is WAY TOO LOUD, whiny & squeaky. Making this AudioBook anything ‘BUT’ an enjoyable listening experience.
Worth a Read/Listen? Yes.
Worth a Credit? Me personally . . . Nope!
Would I recommend the AudioBook/Book? Very. Very Unlikely.
Will I listen to this story/series again? Maybe, ‘If’ I have nothing else to listen to.
Would I listen to more by this Author &/or Narrator? Yes, Probably. “BUT” I will be extremely selective if there are children written into the story. In that case, “I WOULD NOT” buy the AudioBook if the Narrator uses the same voice for children’s characters in other stories,

Love This Author! Can’t Wait for More!!

I save 5-Star Reviews for books I really like & books I’ll listen/read again. This book & story is both. While her writing style may not be some people’s, she is MINE. Hilarious! Well written & the the Narrator Nick Cracknell narrative is a perfect fit.

Mehh . . . Weak Time Travel Story Plot . . .

The plot had too many gaps & weak characters that never become interesting enough to like or dislike. I kept waiting for the story to get better but it never did.

Not a New AudioBook!

I already listened to this Audiobook, performed by Brad Wills. Out of all audiobooks re-recorded I’m surprised this one of them, since Brad Wills version is excellent, where Anthony Ferguson sounds good with character performances but his narration of the story sounds like a British Stoner/Surfer. That’s the only description I can think of (you got to hear it for yourself).
If any of Kathryn LeVeque’s books are re-recorded I wish it was ‘ALL’ the audiobooks performed by Daniel Dorse & The Whispering Knight. Those are the only audiobooks I can not repeat listening to, since it was a challenge to listen to, hear and/or understand the first time.
Still ‘Creed’ is one of my favorite of LeVeques’ story characters & I would recommend listening to it which ever narrator you get.

Interesting World the Author has Created

Slow world build, but not in a tedious or boring manner. I really like the main Female Heroine. She is a strong FH & is constantly strong though the story. (I REALLY dislike when strong FH Characters change to TSTL when the Male Hero Counterpart find each other by the end of the story).
I’m new with this author & the story definitely has me interested. I will explore more of this series & other books.
