Historia
Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

One of my Faves - Gray Man Never Disappoints
Revisado: 02-18-25
I haven’t listened to a Gray Man novel in awhile. I don’t want to finish the series and yet I love the series. But this was a good read - some classic Gray Man. Looking forward to the next read as always.

Nikki lives in cosmopolitan West London, where she tends bar at the local pub. The daughter of Indian immigrants, she's spent most of her 20-odd years distancing herself from the traditional Sikh community of her childhood, preferring a more independent (that is, Western) life. When her father's death leaves the family financially strapped, Nikki, a law school dropout, impulsively takes a job teaching a "creative writing" course at the community center in the beating heart of London's close-knit Punjabi community.

Historia
When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the best-selling crime writer for years, she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan's traditional formula has proved hugely successful.

Revisado: 03-26-24
Overall, I enjoyed the novel. But, I do not plan to continue the series. I liked the story in a story - - it does take talent to write this type of story. But, I didn’t love the characters. Maybe they need more development and maybe it comes in later novels. This one just wasn’t compelling enough to continue.

Just Eh
Revisado: 02-18-24
It was an ok read. Not as good as other Hoover novels. Somewhat predictable ending. There was a lot of hype about the book - so, I’m glad that I read to form my own opinion. Again- it’s an ok read.

Great Ending
Revisado: 02-11-24
I like the story overall. Character building is a little and not as in-depth. Perhaps there is more over time. This is the 2nd book in the series. It’s ok - not great. But ok. As a police procedural, there is little involvement from the rest of the police force - though more involvement in this book. I will read the next one. So, I like it enough for that. Frost is like Harry Bosch lite.

Intense Legal Action with Mickey’s Flair
Revisado: 01-14-24
One of the best Lincoln Lawyer - maybe the best! I’ve enjoyed all of the books in the series. Connelly is just a very talented writer that weaves incredibly credible stories. You won’t be disappointed in this read. It could be read first, but so much is built upon by reading the series.
I love the addition of Bosch- they make an excellent team. Bosch’s incredible detective mind + Haller’s creative legal mind = unstoppable and exciting stories to be told!

First Kristin Hannah book
Revisado: 01-10-24
Just finished this read and I feel satisfied with the ending - though it was a little predictable. Some of the dialogue was mundane and elementary. Not a lot complex character building. It had the makings of a great story - instead just a good story. It was long enough to be more in depth - but a lot of extraneous and cliche dialogue.
Narrator was ok. Don’t know that I’d want to listen to her again. Some of the women’s voices were like baby talk. And annoying.
Even with less than stellar review, I will
likely give Hannah another try later - - not now though.
She has so many great reviews - I’d like to try her again to know if she’s a writer I can relate to or not.
I recommend trying a different first novel.

But when a woman is pulled from the Mississippi River, barely alive, things in the office take a personal turn. Excellent Story and Character Development
Revisado: 10-18-23
I recommend this author and this book of you want to read a well written story with great characters. I’m probably biased because I have read all of the Joe Talbert series and I have invested in these characters.
I hope there are more to come.
I’m looking forward to reading his newest book, too. He’s one of those authors that I’d buy his books knowing nothing about them - because I know it will be excellent storytelling.

Historia
Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Surêté du Québec and his team of investigators are called in to the scene of a suspicious death in a rural village south of Montreal. Jane Neal, a local fixture in the tiny hamlet of Three Pines, just north of the U.S. border, has been found dead in the woods. The locals are certain it’s a tragic hunting accident and nothing more, but Gamache smells something foul in these remote woods, and is soon certain that Jane Neal died at the hands of someone much more sinister than a careless bowhunter.

Revisado: 07-10-23
This is my first Penny novel. The writing is solid and character build up is good. I expect it will be even better as I read more of the series. It is a good police procedural. When I’m in the mood for good solid writing and police procedurals with characters who are likable and flawed - I will read.
