"Sam Spade" was a radio show that aired from 1946 to 1951, and was based on the character of the same name created by author Dashiell Hammett. The show followed the adventures of Sam Spade, a private detective with a reputation for being tough, cunning, and unscrupulous. Never before had I heard the truthful story of the surrender of US forces on the Philippines, the Baton Death March and subsequent imprisonment is said troops. This book is a powerful read and should be mandatory to all US citizens. "Those who ignore history shall repeat it."
