Historia
Christina Rice offers the first biography of the actress and activist perhaps most well-known for her role in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953). Despite the fact that her movie career was stalled for nearly a decade, Jane Russell's filmography is respectable. She worked with some of Hollywood's most talented directors—including Howard Hawks, Raoul Walsh, Nicholas Ray, and Josef von Sternberg—and held her own alongside costars such as Marilyn Monroe, Robert Mitchum, Clark Gable, Vincent Price, and Bob Hope.

Historia
Frank, funny and open-hearted, You Never Know is an intimate memoir from one of the most beloved actors of our time, the highly personal story of a remarkable life and thoroughly accidental career. In his own voice and uniquely unpretentious style, the famed actor brings listeners on his uncharted but serendipitous journey to the top in Hollywood, his temptations and distractions, his misfires and mistakes and, over time, his well-earned success.

What a delight!
Revisado: 01-07-25
What an absolute pleasure to listen to an ordinary person, describe the extraordinary life he has led!
With a lack of pretense, and a charming sense of authenticity, Tom Selleck describes the adventure that is his life. Lots of people look at successful people as being lucky. Luck had nothing to do with it. This hard-working guy might credit serendipity, but I will say there was an extraordinary amount of dedication and hard work behind it all.
I must confess, I have been a Tom Selleck fan since I started watching Magnum PI with my parents when I was in my late teens. My crush was as deep as any of my friends. You often wonder… is this person for real, what are they really really like.
This book answers those questions. Thank you Mr. Selleck for sharing both the ordinary AND extraordinary parts of your life. you have led thus far. You are truly an inspiration.
BTW…love love love the last words!!!

Historia
Mary Lennox starts her life as an unhappy victim of circumstance. After the loss of her parents, she moves to rural Yorkshire to live with a distant uncle where she resents the wildness of the countryside. At first, she struggles to find a place in this new existence. Although unsure about her surroundings and its occupants, through the gentle guidance of the maid she gradually becomes interested in the story of Mrs Craven, who apparently used to spend her time in a garden at the house, the key to which has vanished.
