Eating is about more than satisfying our hunger. It's also about the environment, social justice, personal development, and sustainable living. Many Americans already know this. We're eating less red meat and more organically produced foods, and most restaurants offer vegetarian options. But do we really know the truth about mechanized animal farming and slaughterhouses, herbicide and pesticide use, and labels that promise "Certified Humane"?

Ethical Eating
Revisado: 04-28-17
I'm really pleased with the book over all- I learned loads more than I ordinarily would. I'm actually buying the physical copy as well and have recommended the app/book both to friends of mine.
I disagreed with some points made by the authors on Veganism- it's not just about the consumer/financial support of animal agriculture that many of us reject. And I think it would have been better if they delved more into Carnism and how vegans reject that as well.
Over all, excellent book.

I wanted to like it
Revisado: 08-14-16
I did. I wanted very much to enjoy this story. A private hotel for gentle ladies? A runaway wife? Everything sounded intriguing- and because I want very badly to see how the story line is run, I'm putting up with the terrible story method.
You do not need every detail- some that would be impossible for the main character to know. The back and forth inner dialogue- yeesh.
I do. I don't. I do. I don't.
Understood, now please keep moving. Oh? Fifteen more minutes of incessant, inane, and idiotic babbling of nothing of consequence? Sure, go ahead...
What you write should mean something, otherwise this becomes more than the ditherings on of a pseudo heroine I wanted- from the summary alone- to like very much.
I am finishing the tale solely because I'd started it and now must finish it- as I do all books, regardless of quality.
Cassandra Campbell has given a wonderful performance to an otherwise awful book.
Please, don't waste your time.

Historia
From bestselling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure. In the traditional folktale of 'Sleeping Beauty,' the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation.

Ridiculous
Revisado: 01-05-16
This is the absolute worst book I have ever heard. Not for the performer, mind you. But there is only so much one can do with this... It's overdone- how many major tragedies can you stick into a book to complicate your plot? How many times can one repeat the same words and phrases before you drive your listener/reader barking mad? The plot is so over the top and predictable as soon as characters are introduced, you know what will happen next and there is no Shock or turn. I'm only finishing it because I can't bear to let a book go unfinished.

What?
Revisado: 12-22-15
Overall, I'm a fan of regency romances, however, I can't stand the "heroine" in this novel. The hero(es) are quite alright- despite some minor issues, but she's horrible. Some author crafted circumstances tie up everything in a neat package- but doesn't change my feelings on her heroine.
