Historia
The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce, evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it - from garden seeds to Scripture - is calamitously transformed on African soil. What follows is a suspenseful epic of one family’s tragic undoing and remarkable reconstruction over the course of three decades in postcolonial Africa.

Historia
Two men, each handsome and unusually adept at his chosen work, embodied an element of the great dynamic that characterized America’s rush toward the twentieth century. The architect was Daniel Hudson Burnham, the fair’s brilliant director of works and the builder of many of the country’s most important structures, including the Flatiron Building in New York and Union Station in Washington, D.C. The murderer was Henry H. Holmes, a young doctor who, in a malign parody of the White City, built his “World’s Fair Hotel” just west of the fairgrounds.

Focused too much on details and not on storyline.

The way this book drones on and on made me wish, for the first time ever, I bought the abridged version. No one cares about the exact details of every food menu of each formal event!
The author obviously did his research but WOW! Sometimes less is more.

Great Points, just needs a bit more depth!

What made the experience of listening to The Hypnotic Salesman II the most enjoyable?
This book covers some very important subjects. It does it in short order and quite a good overview. I wish there was some depth to each of the subjects and how it would apply to a standard sales relationship.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
How to get the girl!
