Historia
As always, Reacher has no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there. One morning he ends up in a town near Pleasantville, Tennessee. But there’s nothing pleasant about the place. In broad daylight Reacher spots a hapless soul walking into an ambush. “It was four against one” . . . so Reacher intervenes, with his own trademark brand of conflict resolution. The man he saves is Rusty Rutherford, an unassuming IT manager, recently fired after a cyberattack locked up the town’s data, records, information . . . and secrets.

Excellent JP Beaumont, but the recording
Revisado: 05-08-19
Loved it, if your going through the series I don't need to tell you to continue enjoying it. But Audible needs to seriously question the costs of these older recordings. I hate to complain but the audio book voice overs monitor headphones give so much feedback. They are obviously turned up to high in reference to the recording channel. Maybe tech talk to you but an easy fix....

Historia
Before he retired, J. P. Beaumont had looked forward to having his days all to himself. But too much free time doesn't suit a man used to brushing close to danger. When his longtime nemesis, retired Seattle crime reporter Maxwell Cole, dies in what's officially deemed to be an accidental fire, Beau is astonished to be dragged into the investigation at the request of none other than the deceased victim himself. In the process Beau learns that just because a long-ago case was solved doesn't mean it's over.

You won't want to stop listening
Revisado: 01-16-19
This is my first J.A. Jance novel and certainly not the last. The location details couldn't be more spot on and the references to current events around the time line couldn't be better. (If you're from or have spent time in and around NW Washington you'll simply be amazed at the accuracy)
The story itself comes in nice and lightly with some great early character development, as soon as you start to get settled in with JP and Mel the action starts. What you might think will be a couple of older folks out of their element, when entering the criminal aspects of the story, is dismissed immediately. I won't get started on Rambo but if you're a dog lover there's a nice little addition to the cast you'll enjoy a lot.
So once the action picks up you'll deffinetly feeling it building towards the crescendo, which is still a ways off. But the excitement never lulled and you'll be surprised at the depth, twists and turns to the story. Definitely keeps you guessing.
There is a lot of character development and at times I did have to remind myself of whom a character was, but I do listen while I'm doing other tasks so I don't think that is a fault of the author just my attention span.
Overall I was recommended this book and will do the same going forward, Enjoy!!!

The ring is tiny, for a woman, and it has her initials engraved on the inside. Reacher wonders what unlucky circumstance made her give up something she earned over four hard years. He decides to find out. And find the woman. And return her ring. Why not?

Another spot on Reacher Novel
Revisado: 11-28-17
I've been following this series since the release of the first novel and this proves to be yet another outstanding example of Lee Child's ability to capture your imagination and keep you longing for the next complex convergence of the story. Not only does this story keep the pace that us long following fans are used to, the engagement and details don't go so long as to get you lost but provide everything you need to completely immerse yourself in the descriptions. And needless to say Dick Hill completely crushes another audiobook, as a someone with a degree in broadcasting his performance of this novel is totally consistent with his previous works. Concise and immersing are the only words I can use to describe it. If you're a long time fan or a new reader please give this experience a chance, you won't be disappointed. And while you're at it grab yourself a folding toothbrush... Just in case;)

Historia
In 2011, a 26-year-old libertarian programmer named Ross Ulbricht launched the ultimate free market: the Silk Road, a clandestine website hosted on the Dark Web where anyone could trade anything - drugs, hacking software, forged passports, counterfeit cash, poisons - free of the government's watchful eye. It wasn't long before the media got wind of the new website where anyone - not just teenagers and weed dealers but terrorists and black hat hackers - could buy and sell contraband detection-free.
