Historia
Cherry, Nebraska, population 312, is just off the highway between the sticks and the boonies. It’s where Dave Rhodes and his friends have lived all their lives. They own businesses, raise families, pay taxes, deal with odd neighbors, and, once or twice a month - just like their fathers before them - transform into wolves.

Fun story

I enjoyed the narration and the story line. Nothing super surprising in the way the story unfolds but a fun listen all around.

Historia
Since the 1970s, FantasticLand has been the theme park where "Fun is Guaranteed!" But when a hurricane ravages the Florida coast and isolates the park, the employees find it anything but fun. Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares.

Very enjoyable
Revisado: 02-03-23
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the reading of this book from start to finish. Having different narrators do different voices really adds a lot to the story. It’s very different from the normal thrillers I typically listen to. You’re constantly wondering how this could possibly be happening from start to finish. I think the author does a great job of making the characters actions just explainable enough to be plausible.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

If you like apocalyptic stories this is definitely the best one I’ve ever listened to. So good I actually felt the desire to go out and get a couple extra supplies for myself. 10/10

Historia
The year is 2108, and the North American Commonwealth is bursting at the seams. For welfare rats like Andrew Grayson, there are only two ways out of the crime-ridden and filthy welfare tenements: You can hope to win the lottery and draw a ticket on a colony ship settling off-world...or you can join the service. With the colony lottery a pipe dream, Andrew chooses to enlist in the armed forces for a shot at real food, a retirement bonus, and maybe a ticket off Earth.

This book is a lot of fun to listen to. Reminds me a lot of starship troopers. A good mix of movie military and sci-fi. The narrator does a great job.

Mystified experts, confounded by the impossible timeline they get from traditional dating methods, call upon a stubborn young man with a unique talent. Matthew Turner's gift is also his curse: When he touches any object, his awareness is flooded with the thoughts and feelings of those who touched it before him. It is a talent that many covet, some fear, and almost no one understands.

The story is fun and engaging. There's was a little drag in the middle when following the tribe story but awesome none the less. I immediately bought the two follow up books. I really like the narration as well.

Cool series, looking forward to the third book.
Revisado: 02-03-16
I really enjoyed the first book. This was a good follow up to continue the story line with the exception of the monster. I thought it was a bit out of place in this world. But it's a supernatural genre so anything is possible. Looking forward to the third book.
