Great book, but the MC is starry to develop some annoying character traits, still excited for next book.

Historia
When the System Administrators arrived on Earth, they forced those of the younger generation into other worlds to fight for multiversal entertainment. Bored of life on Earth, Noah has trained to become one of the chosen. He even had his class all planned out–a Mounted Monster Tamer. But he was never picked. So he put matters into his own hands and volunteered. Arriving in a world thick with jungle and hotter than the most boiling desert, Noah finds himself face-to-face with a kobold, which he proceeds to beat into submission and turn into a minion.

MEH.
Revisado: 11-26-22
Narration was ok, but story was disjointed and rambling to the point of distraction. Author didn’t seem to know exactly where they were going with the story.

I can’t wait until we have actual full immersion artificial reality, but until we do we can rely upon the awesome story telling abilities of Scott Sigler to draw us into the world he has created for us and effortlessly keep us there.

Historia
Infinite Worlds is the most popular VRMMORPG on the market. Its maps are so vast, developer Hard Rock Data utilizes a network of highly advanced artificial intelligences to control it. But it’s not without problems. That’s why Game Masters like Jeff Driscoll have jobs. The downside? He’s not allowed to play the game. Something about conflicts of interest and favoritism. His very boring and tedious job is to help players deal with the occasional bug that slips through the cracks and ensure they enjoy their time playing enough to give a five-star rating.

Has promise.
Revisado: 05-26-21
Started out really slow, story took a good 2/3 of the book to get going. The last 1/3 was really good and shows promise for future books in the series. Looking forward to the next book in the series to see if it will be a series worth following.

Was expecting so much more...
Revisado: 12-16-20
I have to say I really enjoyed the first book and was expecting much better from the sequel. The story started ok, then quickly started floundering about aimlessly for a good portion of the book. That’s not to say it didn’t have it’s moments, but overall it failed to perform. It was like the author had enough good material to require another couple of books, but was forced to triage it all down to fit into one book that can best be described as “meh”.

Enjoyed the twist on the genre.
Revisado: 06-24-20
While not the most outstanding LitRPG I’ve listen to, I did enjoy the different way the MC was written. He set out to make an overpowered character by using a bug he discovered in the Beta of the game, due to changes between the Beta and the official release he got his OP character; but with a few unexpected quirks.

Needs work.
Revisado: 02-20-20
The premise is viable, but the story is too erratic. No definitive direction, and characters that keep fighting even after being horribly injured without blinking tends to pull you out of the story. The author needs to decide on a solid story ark for the main character, and focus on it.
