Historia
The saints, the heroes of the Roman Catholic faith, lived lives of holiness, dedicated to serving God. The saints lived at different times in different places throughout history, but they all shared a love of God that has been documented through the teachings of the Church. Today, the saints serve as examples for all Catholics, showing the believers how to lead a more spiritual life. Catholic devotions are particular customs, rituals and practices of worship or in honour of the saints that are in addition to the liturgy of the Catholic Church.

MOSTLY EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCES THAT ELEVATE
Revisado: 06-10-24
Andrea Giordani's narrations of "The Introduction To The Devout Life," "The Interior Castle," "True Devotion To Mary," and "The Dialogue of St. Catherine of Siena" stand out as exceptional. Her commanding, erudite voice ensures that each concept is delivered with the necessary gravity and respect. The resonant quality of her narration, coupled with a majestic tone, offers a deeply insightful and compelling experience. Giordani's reverence and articulate delivery bring authenticity, making complex theological ideas accessible. Her dedication to these works is palpable, enriching the listening experience.
Conversely, Ellis Freeman's and Mike Fox's narrations fall short. Freeman's sing-songy yet affected, breathy voice contrasts with the text's solemnity, while Fox's reading, resembling an automated-speech generated newscaster, lacks the warmth and depth required for such spiritual material.
Overall, this well-curated collection is elevated by the outstanding performances of Giordani and Brandt, making it a valuable addition to any library.
