Historia
Cassie Forrest isn't surprised to learn that the day she’s decided to get her life together is also the day the world ends. After all, she’s been on a self-imposed losing streak since her survivalist parents died: she’s stopped painting, broken off her engagement to Adrian and dated a real jerk. Rectifying her mistakes has to wait, however, because Cassie and her friends have just enough time to escape Brooklyn for her parents’ cabin before Bornavirus LX turns them into zombies, too.

A bit slow
Revisado: 01-04-25
Story is ok but develops slowly, Some of the characters are whiny and too much romance for me.

Historia
Ten thousand city-state habitats orbit the planet Yellowstone, forming a near-perfect democratic human paradise. But even utopia needs a police force. For the citizens of the Glitter Band that organization is Panoply, and the prefects are its operatives. Prefect Tom Dreyfus has a new emergency on his hands. Across the habitats and their hundred million citizens, people are dying suddenly and randomly, victims of a bizarre and unprecedented malfunction of their neural implants.

Meh
Revisado: 10-16-24
Just meh, kind of hard to follow because nothing gripping happens. His earlier works are much better. Narrator is good.

Historia
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

Revisado: 12-28-22
Its ok but nothing particularly original about it. I don't know how it got so highly rated.

Historia
In a world devastated by nuclear war with humanity on the edge of extinction, aliens finally make contact. They rescue those humans they can, keeping most survivors in suspended animation while the aliens begin the slow process of rehabilitating the planet. When Lilith Iyapo is "awakened", she finds that she has been chosen to revive her fellow humans in small groups by first preparing them to meet the utterly terrifying aliens, then training them to survive on the wilderness that the planet has become. But the aliens cannot help humanity without altering it forever.

Sex with aliens is boring
Revisado: 09-11-22
Could have been a good story, but way too much focus on sex with aliens. It’s weird and also boring. I will not continue this series.

It’s an ok read and starts off well, but the endless pining for his lost wife gets really old.

Others around Caesar have intentions as well, though. Those inside The Named that don't trust Caesar. Those inside The Named that would rather him die than lead. Endless agonising with little action
Revisado: 03-18-17
The main characters mope, moan and agonise endlessly while the story develops slowly. Kind if a negative and depressing read. Not recommended.

A bit disappointing
Revisado: 07-11-15
Story is somewhat implausible, narrator is annoying with repetitive tones at times. I enjoyed his earlier books much more than this one.

Intolerably slow and boring
Revisado: 07-11-15
Don't waste your time. Nothing happens in the story, which unfolds with glacial speed. You will need to take anti-depressants after listening to the narrator for more than 10 minutes.
A huge let down after his brilliant Mars trilogy.
