Historia
A decade ago in upstate New York, art student Emma McCullough walked into the woods and was never seen again. It’s a mystery that still haunts her bucolic university town and her broken family, especially her sister Haley, whose need for closure has become an obsession. But now, finally, the first piece of evidence in the vanishing has been found: Emma’s bracelet, lodged in a frozen piece of earth at the bottom of a gorge.

Mediocre experience.
Revisado: 01-03-21
A reasonably good story diminished by the choice of a whiney "Valley Girl" voice for the victim. I could not care for the victim in this story because of the whiney accent that I associate with inconsequential women. The victim had no value so the story had no value for me.

I just loved it.
Revisado: 10-08-20
I really enjoyed this peek into the man's mind. I always have liked to listen to him and this was a real dose of pleasure. Even my husband asked to listen when I was done. It seemed, to me, the musing of a moral man. How refreshing.

Historia
In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning "death" and städning meaning "cleaning." This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner rather than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs listeners to embrace minimalism.

A compassionate step beyond Konmari
Revisado: 05-04-19
I am somewhere between 70 and 90 approaching the writers age given as between 80 and 100. She is my new hero.
She changed and ramped up my resolve to "Konmari" my home. Listening to the gentle narration of this book was for me a life-changing experience. My husband and I have discussed what I would do when he is gone and I have foreseen that issue with such dread that I now cut him off when he approaches the subject with, "I am going with you." But this writer has helped me see an actual future alone.
I am now facing the future with more optimism and the will to go back and begin death cleaning from the first step with a kind of joy. The first thing I will do is make my small "throw away" box and store all the things that caused me so much trouble in my initial cleaning. And then I will begin giving away things with new enthusiasm and a full heart.
I wish I had owned this book when I first set up housekeeping at sixteen. It would have changed so much for me over the past 54 years.
I want to express deep and heartfelt gratitude to the author. She has brightened my life.

What a book!
Revisado: 01-25-11
A brave and honest book. Inspiring. I have never seen or heard Glen Beck but I deeply respect him for having produced this book. Think I just might turn on FOX and tune in.
