Historia
The Work is simply four questions that, when applied to a specific problem, enable you to see what is troubling you in an entirely different light. As Katie says, "It's not the problem that causes our suffering; it's our thinking about the problem." Contrary to popular belief, trying to let go of a painful thought never works; instead, once we have done The Work, the thought lets go of us. At that point we can truly love what is, just as it is.

Gaslighting
Revisado: 01-10-23
Not a fan. This book is filled with magical thinking and gas lighting. Not based in psychology at all.

Historia
The powerful, long-repressed classic of Dallas history that examines the violent and suppressed history of race and racism in the city. Written by longtime Dallas political journalist Jim Schutze, formerly of the Dallas Times Herald and Dallas Observer and currently columnist at D Magazine, The Accommodation follows the story of Dallas from slavery through the civil rights movement and the city’s desegregation efforts in the 1950s and ‘60s.

A must read
Revisado: 10-20-22
The accommodation is the single most impactful book I have ever read. It turned my perception of the community inside out and made me take a hard look at the sins of our past and present. An eerily timely book despite its original publishing in the 80s.
