We love this book. It's such a great story. It's clean, no hidden agendas, no evil, it inspires the imagination and dreams. Excellent book! I think this is the third time we've read/listened to it.

Historia
Can liberty survive in the hands of one all-powerful, unchallenged, and unelected bureaucrat? It wasn’t too long ago that the average American didn’t know who Anthony Fauci was. Now, after the coronavirus has spread nationwide, he’s arguably the most powerful bureaucrat in American history. But is it dangerous for a free society to concentrate so much power in the hands of an unelected official? Who or what holds Fauci accountable?

Not for the thin skinned
Revisado: 08-11-21
If you have thick skin the information in this book will be of interest to you. If you don't, you'll be offended. Regardless of where you stand on masks the stats in this book should be something you're aware of. I recommend!

Historia
When she was suddenly given the opportunity of a new life in rural Jutland, journalist and archetypal Londoner Helen Russell discovered a startling statistic: the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland but Denmark, a land often thought of by foreigners as consisting entirely of long, dark winters, cured herring, Lego and pastries. What is the secret to their success? Are happy Danes born or made?

Excellent listen!

This would be an excellent book for a book study/club. So many topics that can be discussed! The narrator is also excellent. I'm looking forward to trying Russell's second book.

Parents who are deeply invested in their children's education can be hard on themselves and their kids. When exhausted parents are living the day-to-day grind, it can seem impossible to muster enough energy to make learning fun or interesting. Author Julie Bogart distills decades of experience - homeschooling her five now grown children, developing curricula, and training homeschooling families around the world - to teach parents how to make education an exciting, even enchanting, experience for their kids, whether they're in elementary or high school.

I'd rather have read the book
Revisado: 09-27-19
While I don't mind the reader (aka: author) I found times when I wanted to make some notes about things she mentioned so I wish I had simply read the book. Book has ideas to think about though I don't know that I agree completely. Ask me again when I'm done homeschooling.....in about 17 years.

Historia
No one would accuse 11-year-old Caddie Woodlawn of being dainty and ladylike. In spite of her mother’s best efforts, Caddie is as wild as the wind, playing freely and rambunctiously with her two brothers in the Wisconsin backwoods. There are rafts to build and trees to climb and pranks to play. Caddie especially likes to watch her friend Indian John build birchbark canoes at the river. Every day seems wide with possibility - as wide as the frontier. But living on the edge of civilization has its risks, too....
