Great read of 1880's historical romance
Revisado: 04-27-16
This historical romance is Book 2 in the Michigan Brides series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Jody Hedlund, the author, has a unique flow of writing and style. The era of this novel is in the 1880's. I highly recommend this author and the narrator as well as this audiobook.

A wonderful historical romance novel of drama and suspense
Revisado: 04-25-16
Ann Mock writes a wonderful historical romance novel of drama and suspense with a theme of forgiveness and letting go of past hurts. In this audiobook, the descriptive and detailed historical events create vivid imagery throughout the story as the narrator does a suburb job narrating. In this intriguing plot, the author and narrator has a unique way of going back and forth from the past to the challenges of the present while portraying the emotional changes of the main character. The author and narrator make it so easy to become immersed in the lives of story characters and feel their every emotion, be it joy, sadness, desperation, resentment, fear, bravery, or love. I highly recommend this book.

It's listed as a Christian romance however the language needs to be cleaned up
Revisado: 04-19-16
Although I did enjoy this book, be warned that although it's listed as a Christian romance however the language needs to be cleaned up. Also Catholicism is pushed. A true Christian book does not push denomination. It does have romance in it. I was given a copy for an honest review.

Love, forgiveness, and second chances
Revisado: 04-18-16
How long will Katie run from the Amish life, family expectations, and love? Then Karl leaves the Amish life too and becomes a real estate lawyer. Katie is a realtor. Does the shock of meeting up again after all these years mean anything? . After 12 years can Karl forgive her and give her a second chance? This book was an awesome quick read. I loved the story theme of love, forgiveness, and growing in God. I was given a copy for an honest review.

When her co-workers sign her up for a local TV version of The Bachelor, Renee goes along with it in order to raise her profile. Comedy romance
Revisado: 04-18-16
I loved this comedy romance and the main characters, Renee and Ben. The plot scenes are like the tv show, The Bachelor. Even as I rooted for Renee, I felt for Eva. Eva needs a story of her own. Brooke Williams did a great story. This was my first audiobook and my first read of this author. I was gifted this audiobook. Thank you, Brooke William!
