Historia
Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine: A beautiful 14-year-old daughter. A gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A great marriage, admired by all. A perfect life. When investigator Tessa Leone arrives at the crime scene in the foyer of the Denbes’ home, she finds scuff marks on the floor and a million tiny pieces of bright green Taser confetti. The family appears to have been abducted.

Stunning end
Revisado: 10-03-24
I’m a Tessa Liona fan but this particular story didn’t catch me at first. I struggled and kept pushing myself forward to and I’m glad I did it!
The end is terrific! Give it a try

Disappointed
Revisado: 09-10-24
I like Lisa Gardner’s books but at this one I was particularly frustrated. The story didn’t get me as the last book (Love You More). But still, I’ll read the next one. :)

Historia
One question, a split-second decision, and Brian Darby lies dead on the kitchen floor. His wife, state police trooper Tessa Leoni, claims to have shot him in self-defense, and bears the bruises to back up her tale. For veteran detective D. D. Warren it should be an open-and-shut case. But where is their six-year-old daughter?

Outstanding!
Revisado: 09-05-24
Liza Gardner is an amazing writer.
The narration performance could be better, more emotional and captivating but the story is SO good that you listen to the chapters one after the other non-stoppable. You always want to know what’s coming next!

I couldn’t stop listening this book!
Fantastic narration! You feel the main characters emotions, understand their friendship and travel back to that unpleasant period of time. A must have.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Ehrman and Bird go straight to the main concern of Christianism: Jesus as God. Resurrection, divinity and even mythology are explained by these two great professors. Very interesting book!
