Historia
Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

Everyone needs to read this book!
Revisado: 03-04-22
No matter if you love or hate Donald Trump (before, during, or after he was elected President of the United States), there is no denying his proven success in the world. This book is an account of some successes and failures Mr. Trump had, how they were dealt with, and the underlying intentions of them both. Give this book an honest listen and you will come away with a good understanding of what makes a great businessman tick. Excellent book that I would recommend to anyone!

Historia
What if Mary Bennet’s life took a different path from that laid out for her in Pride and Prejudice? What if the frustrated intellectual of the Bennet family, the marginalized middle daughter, the plain girl who takes refuge in her books, eventually found the fulfillment enjoyed by her prettier, more confident sisters? This is the plot of The Other Bennet Sister, a debut novel with exactly the affection and authority to satisfy Austen fans.

Awesome stand-alone story!
Revisado: 02-20-22
This story was pleasingly unique in that it was a complementary story to Pride and Prejudice instead of a competitive one. The story was it's own yet still in the style of Jane Austen, which made it very easy to listen to and follow. Some stories that tie into the original are so jarringly different that it's difficult to make a connection. This author, however, didn't appear to attempt to change the character of any players but expounded on their foundations quite beautifully! Great book and a wonderful ending for "poor Mary"!

Great Read!
Revisado: 03-17-21
Only picked this up because I have a son of the same name. Turned out to be a very good selection! This story was really creative and extremely well-written. The Dickensian world in all it's original dark glory is brilliantly (and literally) overlaid in this one. It's fast-paced, humorous, quirky, and sometimes terrifying qualities come to life right before your mind's eye, especially if you have read the books mentioned in this book. This is DEFINITELY a reader's read!

EXCELLENT storytelling!
Revisado: 11-11-20
Somewhat written like a movie, this trilogy balances on the razor-thin edge between fantasy and reality. There is not one dull or tedious part in this story. Sullivan keeps your attention by deftly maneuvering through this wonderful imaginary world at a steady pace that sweeps you along with it as the story fluidly travels out of one adventure right into the next. Your mind's eye will become completely engrossed in the beautifully written imagery presented throughout. Do yourself a favor and get these books. You will love it!

Historia
It Worked for Me is filled with vivid experiences and lessons learned that have shaped the legendary career of the four-star general and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. At its heart are Powell's "Thirteen Rules" - such as "Get mad, then get over it" and "Share credit" - that introduce his principles for effective leadership: conviction, hard work, and, above all, respect for others. A natural storyteller, Powell offers warm and engaging parables with wise advice on succeeding in the workplace and beyond.

Historia
Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the Black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned. She contends that the Democrat Party has a long history of racism and exposes the ideals that hinder the Black community’s ability to rise above poverty, live independent and successful lives, and be an active part of the American dream.

Revisado: 09-30-20
Get this book! Ms. Owen's (Mrs. Farmer) is a genuine breath of fresh "thinking" air and the perfect voice to level-headed, conservative, common sense thought. Her book brings a wonderfully historic and statistical look at the past physical and present ideological plight of black Americans in reference to slavery, the latter being the most damaging. I love that this book was read by herself so her meaning and emphasis cannot be misconstrued or misunderstood by any honest reader. Good job Candace! Keep going!

VERY equitable presentation!
Revisado: 09-13-20
This book was FANTASTIC and I recommend it to everyone and anyone (especially during this political season) who wants a factual and historical look at the events and circumstances that created the political world we have today. I was relieved to see that this book was neither pro-Trump (trying to convince everyone to jump on the Trump train); nor anti-Trump (repeating all the negativity we hear daily). It was a very equitable, chronological, and systematic presentation of the facts that are not-so-hidden in plain sight, without any noisy right/left rhetoric. EXCELLENT read!
