Historia
“As we sat there, watching, she transformed into this huge beastly creature, similar to what people might call a wolf. Right there in the middle of our church. It stood on hind legs and rode a roar that would’ve made a lion cower.”—Monsters Among Us by Linda Godfrey Are you the kind of person who thinks ‘roughing it’ means staying at a hotel without Wi-Fi? Then pour some champagne to get through this episode set, mostly in the great(ish) outdoors. Let’s just say Monsters Among Us by Linda Godfrey has Richard rethinking that ‘quaint’ cabin in the woods Susan’s been pushing ...

Addictive from the start!
Revisado: 03-25-24
We knew Richard Hatem was brilliant from his screenplay for The Mothman Prophecies. We knew he was entertaining and insightful from his numerous appearances on the Astonishing Legends podcast. Now with his own podcast that is a cross between a paranormal book club and a therapy session...we find out he's so much more and a little bit like each of us too! Five stars, two thumbs up, recommend to everyone who feels a connection to the spooky side of life!

This podcast is unique! It's not just another paranormal podcast. It's an entertaining, insightful, engaging, and addicting dramedy. Part book club and part therapy. If you don't finish episode 1 with a podcrush on Richard then you weren't really listening. I recommend subscribing... you'll be glad you did!

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

My book club reads mystery, horror, and science fiction but I'm mostly into mysteries. I loved this book! And the narrator was great!

For residents of Salem, Massachusetts, the day after Halloween brings empty candy wrappers, sagging pumpkins, and a community-wide identity crisis. That is, until Lee Barrett's TV production class suggests extending the spooky season with the traditional Mexican celebration Dia de Los Muertos. But when the students discover not all of Salem's dead are resting in peace, the post-October blues don't seem so bad after all....

Great but could be better.
Revisado: 11-20-20
I enjoy all of the books in this series. The writing is good and the characters are pretty relatable. I enjoy the voice of the narrator and how she gets into the story. The only thing I feel detracts slightly is the narrator’s too perfect enunciation. It doesn’t sound natural. Instead it sounds forced and because of that the dialogue can sound stilted at times. Would enjoy the same narrator but more relaxed.
