Another dumbed-down YA novel...

eh.
Revisado: 05-12-22
It has couple interesting ideas but over reads extremely childish and corny. It reads as if a 13 year old had written it in parts.

Historia
It's been three months since Amy escaped New Hope. Since she's seen Baby, or Kay, or Rice. And she's been surviving on her own, like she did before she was "rescued" and taken to what she thought was a safe haven. Then, in the midst of foraging for supplies, her former fellow Guardian's voice rings out in her earpiece. And in a desperate tone, Kay utters the four words Amy had hoped she would never hear: Dr. Reynolds has Baby.

it was ok
Revisado: 02-05-22
The narration was fantastic, the story was still compelling and was well written. Unfortunately the end leaves a lot to be desired, it seemed extremely rushed to wrap up. Almost every plot point is wrapped up in the last 15 minutes it so and everything is just magically ok.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

what a lame way to end it
Revisado: 01-24-22
the first book was fantastic, the second less so, the 3rds story was very good. until the ending that is. I couldn't have thought of a worse way to end it if I tried. Extremely corny and lame.

If you've never listened to an Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff story, please do. They do such an amazing job of making seem like I'm listening to a movie. It is a true performance, the multiple narrators makes tmit so much more interesting and as always their story is so captivating.

disappointing end.
Revisado: 05-07-21
Great book that continues the awesome story from book 1, but such a disappointing end. Assuming of course that there is no book 3 coming, which I have searched for news of but seen nothing to indicate a 3rd book coming. With a 3rd book following this would be close to 5 stars.

Top of the mountain
Revisado: 01-20-21
Modestly one of the best books I've ever read and the narrator does a fantastic job bringing the world to life. In terms of appocolyptic literature this book sits atop the very best, comparable only to Stephen Kings The Stand and yet imo still well above.

I can not wait for book 5. If you are looking at book 4 reviews then I assume you are already aware that Courtney Konstantin has a great talent for telling a story. This book is no different than the rest of the series in that sense. I'm so excited to see where she takes us next!

Enthralling
Revisado: 10-22-20
Honestly, i don't know why I'm surpised at this point. I wasn't thrilled to leave book, I assumed it was going to be a new face on the same story and was so pleasantly surpised when it was it's own unique story. Which makes me wonder why I assumed anything less from this book, yet some how i was blown away again. I can't speak highly enough of the author and the narrator.

Better than expected
Revisado: 10-10-20
I was not excited to leave book one's story, I had little interest in following another set of characters. I'm so happy I can tell you how i wrong I was, this book was just as good as the first in every way. I found the characters to be far better than i expected and to my pleasant surpise the story was not identical to the first with different characters.
