Great book covering all aspects of the digital marketing. Was hoping to hear a little bit more about customer big data mining but that’s okay.

Historia
For decades, Peter F. Drucker was widely regarded as "the dean of this country's business and management philosophers" ( Wall Street Journal). In this concise and brilliant work, he looks to the most influential position in management - the executive. The measure of the executive, Drucker reminds us, is the ability to "get the right things done". This usually involves doing what other people have overlooked as well as avoiding what is unproductive.

What will you do different Monday?
Revisado: 10-15-23
The author did a great job layout out the main objective - the need for executives to think broader while focusing on one solution at a time. Some groundbreaking takeaway for me was: the importance of asking the right question before jumping to solving a problem.

Historia
The pressures on organizations to change will only increase over the next decades. Yet the methods managers have used to strengthen their companies—total quality management, reengineering, right sizing, restructuring, cultural change, and turnarounds—routinely fall short. In Leading Change, Kotter identifies an eight-step process that every company must go through to achieve its goal, and shows where and how people—good people—often derail.

Maaan. Every time I get a book by P. Lencioni I blow through it. Just can’t stop listening. It flows so easily and every point is connected very well. It also explained so many frustrations faced by my team. Definitely sending this one to my boss for consideration.

Organizational Culture
Revisado: 11-19-22
Generally I enjoy books that help further my business acumen. This book shed light on some concepts that I haven’t considered before. It also put me to sleep more than one time. The material is great but the way it is present is very dry. Chapter are well-connected but the stories within the chapters sometimes get disjointed.

Revisado: 11-02-22
This is a great book for those who considers opening their own business. However, some fundamental theories can be applied in the current workplace as well.
The narrator did a great job holding my interest. Each chapter is logically tied to the next one.

I loved this book.
Authors ability to tell a story as a teaching scenario held my attention through the entire book.
I found examples directly relevant to the situation in my workplace. Now I am equipped with an action plan on how to tackle cultural derailment.

It’s a good book
Revisado: 07-17-22
I generally enjoyed this presentation. Positive things that stood out to me the most were: a clear moral in every chapter, a good summary of every chapter and the extensive list of references. On the improvements side: almost only sports references (if you are not into sports you will have a hard time relating), chapters seem more independent than arranged in a logical sequence (hard to swallow when author is talking about strategic thinking).

I loved hearing about the new ways of thinking in the startup framework.
Takeaway key points:
- Experiment in small batches
- Encourage innovation in the workplace
- Don’t let the root cause analysis turn into a blame game. Bring everyone to the table
- Do not be afraid to release Minimum Viable Product and then learn what a customer truly needs.
