Eyewitness, 1930-1939 Audiolibro Por Joanna Burke arte de portada

Entertaining History

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 07-24-07

I have really enjoyed this series, it's like history on the run, and fills in some details I never heard studying it from US history books. It's worth it just to hear the bit about George Orwell in this one (1930-1939).

The details are a bit less in perfect sequence than others in the series, most notably the one ending with WWI in 1919, and perhaps could have included more on the topic of depression beyond marches. Overall very entertaining and educational. If anecdotal info helps you commit things to memory, the "interviews" in this series will help you learn from it.

Very Relaxing- Until Audible Brands It

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 10-28-06

I really enjoyed this Relaxtion, I've used it to try and quiet my brain when getting to sleep was a problem, or to use time on an airplane to just mellow out and regroup with my brain cells. However, at the end of roughly 45 minutes, when I'm at my most relaxed, and usually have headphones in, the Audible man suddenly pipes up with "This is Audible!" at a volume nearly twice that of the track. If they append the ending, I can recommend it with 5 stars, no hesistation, it's not weird, religious, etc. just walks you through the thought progess to get your body and brain to just mellow out.
