Best in the Series

I listened to the first three last year and then listened to them again before starting this one.
This one is the best in the series thus far. I’m sad to know it will end with book five.

Great Series

Worth the wait

I love this series. I got this novel, the first in the series, years ago and wait in impatient anticipation for each new one. I have reread each book before each new one comes out as well so of course when the audio-book was released I had to have it even though it is my third or fourth time journeying with the characters in Qualify. It is an easy book to get lost in. The main character Gwen is clever and Vera Nazarian created a world of sound science fiction I have never encountered before. Her research into the science of things mixed with an amazing imagination gives you a book that peaks your mind and your heart.

Crazy about Spanish

I received this audiobook for free in return for an honest review.

I took 4 years of Spanish back in high school and used to live in Texas. After moving to PA 6 years ago I began to lose my bit of Spanish I knew. I got this audiobook set as a refresher and I feel it did its job.I am more confident in conjugating verbs correctly and some of the vocabulary that was hidden in my brain is now floating on top. My only complaint (and this has nothing to do with the book itself), it the way the chapters are broken up. I would have liked in some instances to skip a lesson without having to guess how far needing to jump forward.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this book. I’ve read many an alternative fairytale and this one definitely ranks top three.

Cute Witch Novel

The White Raven drew me in almost instantly. I listened to it while traveling and ended up completing the Audible version within 4 days of starting. The character of Aven is very no nonsense and likable. She is currently living her 13th life in today’s time after many persecuted lives in the past. She finally finds love from friends to go along with the animals and fairies that are attracted to her presence. Many other novels about witches have a period of self-discovery but Aven knows exactly who she is (if not her complete past) along with her values and power from the beginning of the book. The characters are likable though not deep. If you come to this book looking for development like Discovery of Witches you will be disappointed however if you want a sweet story with a fast pace this is for you.
