Historia
When Bunny, a fluffy, black-and-white sheepadoodle, was eight weeks old, her guardian Alexis presented her with an odd gift: a button programed to say “outside” when pressed. Within a few weeks, Bunny was using it all the time and Alexis, encouraged by Bunny’s progress, continued to introduce more buttons and more words . . . Three years later, Bunny can now communicate using over one hundred buttons, stringing together important, relatable, philosophical phrases such as “Love you Mom,” “Dad went poop,” and “Ugh why?”

Insightful!
Revisado: 01-20-24
I enjoyed this book, learning more about Bunny and the insights in Alexis relationship with Bunny. I’ve been a follower on social media for awhile now, and I’m endlessly impressed by Bunny’s cognitive abilities and Alexis’ patience and commitment in interacting with Bunny. I have to say that one thing that gave me peace in reading the story is that bunny isn’t perfect. I say that because I have a rather big boy who is a blue standard poodle. He is so affectionate and such a loving dog, but I am embarrassed because after he turned about a year old he became very reactive to other dogs… barking, snarling, or lunging. My previous standard poodle was not like that so I thought I hadn’t paid enough attention to my boy. Of course I do, but now I know that he very well may be a reactive dog.
In any event, loved the book and I’m looking forward to more antics about otter and bunny on social media. I appreciate your commitment to sharing your story about life with Bunny.

Narcissistic, Sad, destructive
Revisado: 11-26-23
I read this book because I was so sad that Matthew Perry had died and I wanted to hear his story. I had hoped to hear something more redeeming about what he had learned in his life. I have friends who are recovering drug addicts and alcoholics and their speech seems to be permanently slurred because of
So much abuse, so that didn’t surprise me. What did surprise me was that his intent seemed to be self destruction and that he was aware of the self destruction while he was in the process of doing it. He was hateful toward women - and that was while he was in recovery. I’m glad that he seems to have eventually forgiven his parents for abandoning him. But I really think that he had more than addiction to deal with. He has all the symptoms of borderline personality disorder. I lived for years with someone who had all the symptoms. It’s a hateful condition. I wonder if he hadn’t been famous if he would have had any friends at all. Sorry to be so hard on him. Addiction is a terrible disease. But there just isn’t much to like about the man.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Thank you for your honesty and for being brave enough to share your story. I think this is a story that communicates hope to anyone struggling with recovery after a life time of abuse. Beautifully written. Although painful, I can’t say enough good things about it!

I say “unbelievable” because it is difficult for me to imagine so much hatred from Jean Kassam. Kerri and the evidence presented is VERY believable. Thank you, Kerri, for what you are doing to ensure that this doesn’t happen in other families.

Historia
In her mesmerizing fourth work of fiction, Sue Monk Kidd takes an audacious approach to history and brings her acclaimed narrative gifts to imagine the story of a young woman named Ana. Raised in a wealthy family with ties to the ruler of Galilee, she is rebellious and ambitious, with a brilliant mind and a daring spirit. She engages in furtive scholarly pursuits and writes narratives about neglected and silenced women. Ana is expected to marry an older widower, a prospect that horrifies her. An encounter with 18-year-old Jesus changes everything.

Sue Monk Kidd did it again...
Revisado: 04-23-20
Sue Monk Kidd is an amazing writer and she has spun another story that is gripping and compelling. The only thing that kept creeping into my mind was not just that Jesus was married but by misrepresenting almost every part of the known historical story. That said, I know this is a story. And it is a fabulous story. It was hard to stop listening.

Historia
Lee Strobel became convinced that God was outmoded. Today science is supports the conclusion that the universe was intelligently designed. Darwinism has faltered in the face of facts and hard reason. Science definitely gives faith a boost as new findings emerge about the complexity of our universe. Strobel re-examines the theories that once led him away from God. You'll encounter discoveries from cosmology, DNA research, and human consciousness that present evidence in The Case for a Creator.

Good story...
Revisado: 03-11-19
Really good story. So insightful on living in two worlds and the prejudice experienced on both sides. The ending was a little too abrupt. But I’d recommend the book and I’m glad I listened nevertheless.
