This was not what I expected. I spent most of the stories crying, or just sad and didn’t even finish rattlesnakes since it reminded me to much of how fast my mom’s health deteriorated and was nothing but a skeleton within 6 months. I came for this book to get away from real life for a bit of time but ended up drowning in sorrow as the stories mostly end in sadness. If you’re a hard core fan then jump in. But be warned these are not scary but they are dark.

These flow fast, one to the next and you can’t stop listening to them!!!! I am definitely going to see if I can find even more in this series it has to go beyond 9 books ❤️❤️❤️100% recommended if you want something new in your library

Not your typical end of days story

Picture this- it starts in a Pub ❤️ . And stays in a pub for most of it. I loved it! Keeps you guessing about what is going on and why it’s happening. Stay till the very end also cause there are individual stories that are happening outside of the pub that are GREAT! I would recommend this to anyone wanting something different for a change. You won’t be disappointed. Going to see what other stuff this author has now.

I wanted to be more excited BUT….

I was excited that to see a new book finally after I went through all the other books this past week. I got started into this and , well …. It’s like others have said it’s more of a rehash of the other books, nothing really new. The plot does not really hold the story sorry to say. Also I was expecting 8 hours for the cost of the book, and it’s dropped off in less than 5 hours. Next it’s a 3 hour story of Malphas past life. How long till we get the second book for the final.and when do we learn who actually started the war? Last we saw in the book before this - Noir was very sick and weak. So I’m lost. The voices are not the same either over this book. Simi voice is really horrible and d cringie. Nothing sing song about it lol

Love this follow up!!!

First let me just say- for those that follow all of the aliens books/movies- this story would come right after Aliens 3 when Ripley kills herself on the prison planet. How long after not sure because this story can stand on its own two legs from that moment on. And trust me it can kick tails and take names it’s that much of a bad ass book. I always love listening about the colonial marines going into action. And this being a multi-voice. Oil made that even better. The readers/voices acting is perfect! They deserve so much praise and raises for being so great at their jobs ❤️ completely recommend to all aliens fans out there.

Always so deep of feeling drugs you in

I first read this back when it came out as a gift given to me cause I loved reading this author. I finished that hardback book in 3 days (only cause I was told I HAD to go to sleep or put it down while I was eating. Now I have it to listen to from a different voice (instead of the ones created in the mind while I read) and it brought this to life all over again. By the time the book is over you find yourself wishing the people and places were real just to see them, meet them, have some pie and listening to them talk. The reader really brought them to life, and I love that the author doesn’t just drop the story with the bad guy finally taken care of. It continues and makes you love the family even more. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good read.

He does it again! Hooked from the beginning

In truth I do not know which I love more about these books, the story itself of Prescott’s adventures, or the man that makes him seem real in my head while I listen to the book.
The books/plot lines, funny quips out of nowhere, series moments you rewind to listen to a second time to make sure you heard what you heard, the shocking moments of danger, or the heart grabbing wish that the sister didn’t have to stop doing what she loved cause of MS. All this makes you love these books and fall for the characters. I recommend them every chance I get to people asking “what I should I read next”.
You are a wonderful writer Mr. Pirog don’t stop, I look forward to another Prescott adventure 🥰

Yup I cried as much as I figured

I had a feeling since I waited so long to finally read the end, all the years waiting, worth it, but I cried near through a box of Kleenex. Both happy and sad tears. It was a beautiful ending.
