Historia
There’s only so much room on the Island, only so much blood, and Manhattan’s Vampyre Clans aren’t interested in sharing. So when the Vyrus-infected dregs of New York’s outer boroughs start creeping across the bridges, the Clans want to know why. Bad luck for PI Joe Pitt. Joe used to be a Rogue, work off his own dime, pick his own gigs, but tight times and a terminally ill girlfriend pushed him to the renegade Society Clan. Now he has all the cash and blood he needs, but at a steep price.

Historia
People start dropping dead around Charlie, giant ravens perch on his building, and it seems that everywhere he goes, a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Strange names start appearing on his nightstand notepad, and before he knows it, those people end up dead, too. Yup, it seems that Charlie Asher has been recruited for a new job, an unpleasant but utterly necessary one: Death.

If you like Woody Allen you will probably LOVE this book. If you don't like Woody Allen's comedy you will not like this book. The book is well written for what it is. The narrator does a very good job with his reading of this book. If you think that Magic Kindom for Sale - Sold! By Terry Brooks is good you will like this book.

Historia
Landover was a genuine magic kingdom, with fairy folk and wizardry, just as the advertisement promised. But after he purchased it, Ben Holiday learned that there were a few details the ad had failed to mention.
The kingdom was in ruin. The Barons refused to recognize the king, and the peasants were without hope.

(Good Book) just not for me
Revisado: 03-18-09
I made it halfway through this book. The narrator is good. The plot is fairly good but the hero stops and whines for prolong periods of time. To a degree this makes sense with the story but is very annoying to me. If you don't like whiny heroes don't get this book. If you enjoy Woody Allen and fantasy this might be a book for you.

Adult content
Revisado: 12-02-08
The book Hedda Gabler is listed under Audible Kids. Not really a good book for kids or young teens. You may want to review the book before letting a child or teen go through it. The book has adult content mostly through implied meaning of words and double meaning of words. The book also has a suicide in it. Other then that if you like drama in a story you will more then likely this story. A good little sop opera.

Historia
The demon, known only as "Jakerbok", is a major force of evil then and now. He taunts the listener to "Burn this audiobook" throughout this satanically autobiographical monologue, for he has embedded his very self inside each word....as a long-dormant vehicle for the dark forces to finally conquer all things good and holy in this world.

good book
Revisado: 12-05-07
The audio of this story is good quality the narrator Doug Bradley does a good job telling the story. The only problem with the story is that the “book” some times goes no rants that get a little to long. I didn’t care much for the portions of the book that ranted with graphic violence. This book is a nice adult book that I would recommend it to my friends.

Good not Great
Revisado: 12-02-07
Overall the quality of the story is good but the story is slow at times. The story doesn’t focus on Attila point of view as much as Romans dealing with the fallout from Attila and other barbarian’s action of that time. The plot development is good and as long as a person is not looking for a thrill ride every second I would recommend this book.

Historia
Here is one of the best historical novels ever written. Lame, stammering Claudius, once a major embarrassment to the imperial family and now emperor of Rome, writes an eyewitness account of the reign of the first four Caesars: the noble Augustus and his cunning wife, Livia; the reptilian Tiberius; the monstrous Caligula; and finally old Claudius himself. Filled with poisonings, betrayal, and shocking excesses, I Claudius is history that rivals the most exciting contemporary fiction.

I, Claudius
Revisado: 08-21-07
I, Claudius was written as if it were the confidential autobiography of Claudius, the fourth emperor of Rome 41-54 A.D. The main caricature Claudius tells of the intrigues of his day and age. The story starts off a bit slow but the story is laying the foundations of the future intrigues of sex, murder and betrayals.

Historia
First published in 1908, and widely regraded as his masterpiece, Penguin Island is Anatole France's most searching and satirical novel. A humorous critique of customs and laws, rituals and rites, its subject is human nature, but its characters are penguins in the mythical land of Penguinia. The story of the strutting penguins and their virtues and vices is not merely a burlesque allegory of French history, it is a satire of the history of mankind. With gentle yet biting irony, France challenges the Spencerian belief in the ultimate perfectibility of man, though his irony reveals his sympathy for man's weaknesses and his need for social institutions.

Historia
Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's magnum opus, which launched an ideology and a movement. With the publication of this work in 1957, Rand gained an instant following and became a phenomenon. Atlas Shrugged emerged as a premier moral apologia for capitalism, a defense that had an electrifying effect on millions of readers (and now listeners) who have never heard capitalism defended in other than technical terms.

The story wouldn?t be so bad if she didn?t keep repeating her themes. A good read for philosophy but you only need to read the first part and last part of the book.
